I had set my sights on the 03 AE coupe or vert because of the color. But half of the cars made that year were that color, I thought it wold be a little more rare.
I looked for the least common color produced and found an 03White/White/Red vert. White is not my favorite color, but I love this classic vert combo. Lots of comments on the car and now I'm really glad I got the white. There were only 200 or so white tops made in 03 so it's kinda unusual. great cars!!
The wife has a 01 speedway white. White with chrome wheels looks sweet. We both fell in love with that color. THEN, I wanted a black vette so after three years of having the white one, I found a black one. I love the black and i love keeping them really nice at all times. Every time we take a drive in one of them and we done driving it for the day, im out in the garage cleaning it. We just drive on nice days..........

I was originally looking for a torch red with a black interior. I wound up buying a mag red with an oak interior and have no regrets. You can't beat mag red when the sun is shining and it can get very "moody" in other lights. I now think the black interiors are too dreary looking and really like my oak/black interior after upgrading my iterior.
My dad had a 68' that was yellow. Always thought it would be cool to have a yellow one of my own one day. Only other color I would have is an Electron Blue. That color is so nice.
My favorite color on a C5 is Nassau Blue.
Next favorite is white. My bro just picked up a very nice 01 SW Z06.
I picked my car because it had the things I wanted. The color (black) was definitely not my first pick, but it has definitely grown on me. I very much like it and plan to keep her a long, long time!

Silver and Blue were the only colors I considered.
The Z06 colors were limited to the following in 2004
LeMans Blue Metallic(19U) - 2025 produced
Black(41U) - 1186 produced
Machine Silver Metallic(67U) - 967 produced
Torch Red(70U) - 876 produced
Millenium Yellow(79U) - 629 produced
It was honestly a toss up between Silver or Blue for me. The choice was made for me when I found out that I could get my Silver for 11.5K off sticker, and they were wanting 5K above sticker for the Blue CE Z06.
Seems everyone has a black, red or primer gray. They are the most prevalent color on the sales site. I waited for the classic white. It never gets old.
I went looking for either a Black or MY. Found both at a Corvette dealer in Atlanta. Both coupes with black interior and 6 speeds. The MY was a 2001 with 87K miles and the Black was a 2000 with 47Kmiles. Test drove both and went with the Black. Gave up some of the advances with the 2001 but have been more than pleased with the 2000 in Black. But, yeah the work involved to keep it clean is two fold at least of any other color, but worth it.
I really had my mine set and Navy Blue Metallic vette when I set out to purchase my vette.
I bought a NBM Coupe 2001 w low miles and really liked it but always liked the Z06 / Hardtop look. Went crazy and converted the coupe to a FRC / Hardtop.
Over time, I really started liking the Speedway Whit and Arctic White Vettes. Unfortunately I spent a fortune on the blue one with the wide body kit, FRC conversion and paint job.
After I got the NBM vette home, I was thinking of repainting it white, but instead decided that it would be more practical to just buy a SW 2001 Z06 and so that's what I did.
So in the end, my color really is Speedway White. I love the way it looks with black accented wheels and other black out accessories.
I didn't have a specific color in mind when I was looking for my C5, but when I saw it on the dealers lot I was sold right then and there. The Magnetic Red Mettalic was exactly the color I didn't know I was looking for. I was fortunate that the car had all the right options I wanted as well, coupe, 6 speed, Z51, heads-up, black interior, mileage and PRICE! I can't recall over the years how many complements I've gotten on the color. Out of all the other colors that have been made since then, there hasn't been one that would have made me regret getting the one that I got.

I really wanted a white, silver or grey. Red was the one color I didn't want, but when I saw the Mag red I fell, head over heels for it. It's more work to keep it clean, but I'm up to the challenge.
I had never owned a black car until my '93 C4. It was a DD which looked good once per week -- the hour after I cleaned it up.
I vowed never to have a dark car again. I weakened a bit while looking at C5's -- there was a dark blue '00 that really caught my eye, but in the end I resisted and instead bought Sebring Silver. It too is a DD and it barely shows the dirt at all. I think the gray, white, and light blue ones all seem to be best for a DD.
Just seems to me black cars are like Cameron Diaz -- great looking after a lot of primping, but look beat given a bit of exposure to the elements...

I had my heart set on a black/black coupe and it had to have the MN6. I looked for a long time, and kept coming across this black/black/gray convertible. After I thought about it for a while - I went for it. I've never looked back! I love my black convertible and I love the gray interior.
Nassau Blue is one of the most beautiful colors ever put on a C5 - if I could find a 2000 Nassau Blue Z51 convertible with a black top and interior, with a MN6 and low miles, I'd have a hard time walking away from it.
My wife loves Mag Red and Electron Blue equally, and I have offered/threatened to buy an A4 convertible for her.....
We were looking specifically for one color - Dark Bowling Green - but condition and options were also a factor. My wife just "fell head-over-heels" for this color when we saw one roll out of the Assembly Plant in 1999. She said at that time "we will have one someday". It took 3 years of searching but we finally found the right one in Sept. `05. It is almost as difficult as black to keep clean, but we love it.
My '98 is my 5th Corvette. All have been silver and I never considered any other color. Why? All my vette's have been daily drivers and I'm lazy. Silver can be filthy and still look good from 6 feet away.
