I was looking for anything but yellow... ended up with a 2002 MY M6 and couldn't be happier.
Yellow looks good even when dirty so I love it. Plus it's just exciting... I see a pewter or silver vette which is what I wanted and they just seem boring in comparison now. Wife loves yellow, loves taking the top off, I wanted silver FRC/Z06... what can I say she won and I'm not very disappointed! Love my car every day!
I couldn't agree more with the excitement of the color YELLOW. I often think, I can't believe I own a yellow car, but it is a fun color.
Great stories!
I will also admit that my two toned interior (black/tan) is great too. I didn't think I would like it either, but it has grown on me and I love it!

After owning red sport cars all my life, I wanted something different. I picked MY because i think it is the best color on a Corvette. I can spot them a mile away and the contrast in color, black int and Yellow Ext. There is nothing like it!
I actually didn't want a white vehicle while looking for a Corvette. I was more interested in either red or spiral gray. In fact, I was at a used lot to look at a gray 1999 hardtop when I saw the white 2000 coupe sitting behind it. I didn't even test-drive the hardtop when I saw the coupe. For me, every detail of the C5 really popped on that white coupe. Now, that white coupe sits in my carport.
I knew what I wanted...TR with the mod red interior. No substitutes. Love all clours of vettes almost but I wouldn't buy unless it was TR. Glad I did....if I decide to go back to black, etc I'll buy one. I just love looking at red I guess....
I have had many colors over the years but I have gotten old and wise and down south in the heat silver and white are great colors We had an 02 Z06 it was yellow and that was a great color down south es[ecially in th pollen season
LOL what does going to see a movie have to do with any of that?
I wanted black, found a dark bowling green metallic, still like black better, but had to get the green because it was a fantastic deal. I do like it though and get almost daily compliments on the color.
I started off looking for a Pewter Vette, but our Tahoe was already Pewter. One day I found myself staring at a Torch Red coupe. I must have stood in the parking lot and starred at it for 10 minutes. Bought an 02 in 2004. I still love the color.
Wasn't picky on color. Have had black and torch red in the past. EB was my first choice on a Z and I just happened to stumble upon one that was exactly what I was looking for excluidng the color. The fact that it was EB just made the decision that much faster.
EB looks great on a Z. Here's mine sitting in a giant puddle at Carlisle:
I saw DBGM the first time at a car show and I thought it had to be an aftermarket color. When I saw that it wasn't I was like I knew it was right for me
From: ALL governments are legalized mobsters, so doesn't matter where I live :(
I wasn't to fussy about the color, as long as it wasn't silver
No offense but I find silver "plain" looking for a vette. I found my torch red online for a decent price and it was clean so I jumped on it...BUT, I'm still kicking myself in the a$$ for passing up a chance to pick up a metalic purple coupe
While looking for a C5 the wife saw a MSG coupe and fell in love with the color. At that point I knew that if any C5 that I bought was MSG she would approve and that make the whole process easier.
I wouldn't settle for anything other than RED. I am not the type to wait for a color to "grow on me".
Don't worry if you didn't get RED, your color will "grow on you".
