One thing to note.... Stay at or under a 36" waist.
I put on some weight (38" waist) in the last couple years and found they were getting VERY snug in the hip area.
I have since lost 17+ lbs in 2 months and they feel GREAT again... Phew...
Everyone has a motivation for loosing weight... This was mine.
Toque,
did you consider any other seats before the Corbeau purchase? if so, which ones and why did you choose these over those?
what about Recaro?
thank you in advance for your reply.
sincerely,
Kevin

Yea a little. I wanted something that was a "clean" look inside the car.
No stitched words on the seat at all.
I'm not into stuff that SCREAMS aftermarket add on part
That limited my choice a lot right there.
I did not want to spend 3000-4000 on some of the other seats available. Although the high $$ ones are beautiful !
Leather Corbeau A4's were a logical choice for my situation, and I would buy them again in a second.
One day if the leather wears out I'm going to get them recovered and maybe a red baseball stitching in them. Should look good with my Mod Red interior.
I want the leather A4's in my car, those look incredible! I'm sick of the stock Z06 seats. I drive my car too hard, and find myself trying to keep from sliding in the seat more than actually driving, LOL.

Seats + a decent tire are the two things that bring a stock Z from good to great. They are worth every penny.
Currently trying to sell my ZO6 seats. If I can get them sold...I'll be contacting TPSMak for a set of Microsuede A4's with shaved base and sub belt options.
I don't need "performance" enhancement, I need "pot-hole resistance"! I vanished inside one I think about two hours ago... all I remember is that I was driving along this afternoon and suddenly it got dark outside, then crash and the sun was out again.

Need seats with a Rectal-Rating of at least 8.6.
Sounds like you need a different daily driver....
And leave your vette for nice roads on weekends.
Would anyone happen to know if the Corbeau Sportline RRB will fit in the C5? The added cousion and thicker front edge appears that it would support legs better and provide a bit of a rear slope/lean that would be appealing to me because of my bad knees.
Difficult is too strong a word... .Maybe a "slight inconvenience" ...
Just be sure to put this on the lever.
Seems like most of the mods I've done have involved a reference for something you've already completed, Mark. Great idea on the straps and washers (even if you can't take full credit for it you posted it with pics)
Here's how mine came out. Haven't decided on changing the seatbelts to black. Did find out these seats don't adjust as far back as the stock seats for those of us with long legs. Good thing I can recline Nice having seats I don't slide around in
