I've got one last exhaust leak I'm chasing down. I'd bet my last dollar it's coming from the driver's side header-to-X-pipe connection. I've re-tightened it 2x now, and each time the whistling gets quieter.
However, I'm afraid of bending the flanges. How much torque (in ft-lb) can I put on the nuts and bolts? (I replaced the regular nuts with locking nuts. It's about 350 miles since the install, and it's been warmed to operating temps and cooled 3x.)
Too much and the flanges may bend so it doesn't require too much. Maybe try some copper gasket spray here or a little more tighten after the heat cycles! Give this a shot and if no luck try the spray. Keep me posted and if anything I can do feel free to shoot me an email direct, thanks!
