JWM Projector Lights- Lower Opening Version- Thread 3
All in all, very satisfied.
Good luck Patches
And . . .because I know how you are (Patches), that being that we cant leave you and the car alone in the garage for ten minutes without you figuring out some super clean way to attack a problem, namely the lack of shrouds . . .
I just threw something together just to cover the area while the proper shrouds are being worked out. Its just something cut out of plastic, a binder actually, just to cover the area for now. Figured I'd give you a head start

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Sorry Joe, no pictures until I'm satisfied with the finished molds. However you will be one of the first to see the shroud when that happens as I'll need you and the other testor's approval. We'll all be posting the pictures of them at that point.
FWIW; I am going through some significant and time consuming changes re-locating from Reno, NV to McCall, ID which includes a new job and a new house. This was the original reason I engaged a composite shop for help as I won't have the time to continue developement of the shrouds until I'm settled in.
But, the new house has a 4 car shop on the property big enough to build my own composite/paint shop in the back so ultimately I'll be producing the entire headlight assembly myself.
My goal is this will help me organize and produce the lights better, enable JW to offer periodic GP's as well as keeping the price affordable to everyone.
Hopefully you ALL can appreciate the challenges the recent economic situation has forced on many such as myself and that my choice to take a new job in a new location was a step in insulating myself (and this project) from future such situations. Small consolation, I know, for those that still can't see while driving their C5's at night.
Thanks to all for your continued interest and patience,
mtndv8

I'll just be waiting here, in my small garage, where I cant even open the doors on my car, fondeling my projectors, while you move into your four car place . . .good for you
<mumbles>"must be nice . . ."
We're still working on the revision of Corvette Marketing Rule #623 : Once you offer an aftermarket product that people want, you are no longer permitted to have a life outside of the service of that product.
But as we speak, it's still in effect so . . .get on your horse

Mahalo (<= did I say that right?)
Keep us posted Mike
Edit: I do notice that #623 may not apply due to the product not technicaly being in the "offering" phase, but there's no sense in passing up an opportunity to poke you a little

Project "Sun Guns"
Updates:
1. We still need to develop the shroud. No ETA on them yet.
2. We have at least 5 CF members with these lights (or soon to have them) to complete some beta testing. We want no QC issues with these.
3. We have a minor setback with the motor designs throughout the C5 run causing problems with the mount frames. We should have that fixed.
4. We're still shooting for a high $700 price tag with 55 watt HID kits.
Question- When will they be ready????
The truth is we don't know 100% yet. You have plenty of time to save

We will post up when they're 100% ready. We want to iron out all problems before offering them to the public.
These will be the best lights out there for the C5 based on the quality, price, and light output they will provide.
