This headlight thing is akin to being super hungry, waiting for your meal to come out of the kitchen! All you get for what can seem to be hours is a scent of what's coming soon!

This marketing maneuver is brilliant! Hang the carrot out so long that the horse will eat even if it's not hungry anymore!

Unemployed or not (lost my job a few weeks back), I'm making sure I've got the money set aside for it when this comes out!

I appreciate your attention to detail and tenaciousness. I've been in line for a while now and am still looking forward to driving the C5 at night with 'real good' headlights.

OK. That's it... Give your address. I'm coming over with duct tape and windex and we're finishing these shrouds!

Are these lights labeled on the lenses as DOT so I could use them in here in Utah with our "safety inspection" requirements? I have been told by two shops that any revised headlights must have the "DOT" cast in the lense.

I think JW was making a big deal about them being DOT legal. But that may have been about the spread. (Or I'm thinking of different headlights.) But if you look at either thread 2 or the original thread, you'll be able to find the posts I'm thinking of.

Are those bezels aluminum and if so do they come off for painting or anodizing?

The silver bezels are actually plastic. I think they are removable, although I didn't even try. If they aren't they can still be masked and painted easily.

Yes it is. Nothing has changed in my commitment to finish these.
My appologies to JW and all for not posting to all the inquiries.
Way too much on my plate right now...

The first set of prototype shrouds are still in the works at the composite shop I am having the work done at.
The design is evolving into a more modified version of the photoshopped "turtlenecks" c5vetteguy produced for us.
The main change being that the turtleneck is a little shorter, as requested by a couple of the testers to be able to see more of the bezel from the side and only rolls up the outer edges/sides of the projector bezels.
There is simply not enough room to allow the turtleneck to completely circle the entire bezel of each projector.
Thus I had to create, in a effect, a tunnel and cutout look top and bottom that contours to the bezel edge and then rolls outward to the t-necks.
Additionally, the turtleneck is only located at the outside radius of each projector.
The area located between the two projectors has been the most difficult to try to make look right.

I wish I could give everyone a better idea how long this process will take, unfortunately I can't. This is new ground for me.
I will re-iterate that I am commited to finishing these. Both for myself and for the community I have grown quite fond of.

Originaly, I and c5vetteguy convinced JW to open this thread as a place for the testers to post up their impressions, pictures, questions and suggestions as well as the community as a whole to provide feedback toward the ultimate goal of a better final product.
I'll leave it to JW to decide if there is still utillity in this thread. I believe so because I still have yet to see all the tester installations completed and allow them an opportunity to comment.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe Holiday Season and I promise to post as and when things progress.

I was following the older threads and there so much to go through so I will just ask this question and hope not to get grilled...

Any change of a quad bi-xenon projector?

or

Just a quad low beam only projector?

I never use my high beams since i don't drive my vette in the canyons or mountains anymore so i was just wondering

thanks
