What great looking headlights. I'll be glad when they're available. I'm going to HID's with stock housing until then, right now, I can't see anything after dark!!
I have one of the original sets and to say I like them is an understatement. Just tucked my Maine C5 away for the winter and had to make a minor adjustment this year. Removed the lights and shipped them to Florida so they can be installed in the C5 I have there. Might sound a little over the top but the difference at night makes it well worth while in my opinion.
Once they are available I will be purchasing a second set. Being an absolute cleanliness freak, encountered some cleaning opportunities, bugs, but it once I put the lights on at night the results made them more than worth while.
Thanks guys, and look forward to the completed product knowing it will be TOP NOTCH AND WILL LOOK AND PERFORM BETTER THAN ANY OTHER PRODUCT OUT THERE!

Glad you "like" them Doug!

Can you implement the gears without changing the lights or lenses?
Not sure I understand what you're asking.
If you are asking if you can upgrade the gears in your headlight motors to the brass ones without changing the lights themselves, well then yes. the gear upgrade is totaly independant to what the motor is driving.
You probably would only want to do the gear swap if the light was giving you problems (not prophylacticaly), as depending on what kit you use, sometimes the case will crack (re)open after you do the swap.
If Im totally missing you, and you're asking if you could implement "lower opening" without changing the lights or lenses, well yeah you could, but it has nothing to do with the "gears'.

Ya.. that was my question... I already have HIDs in my stock housings.
How much light do you think it would cut down. I love the look of the lower openings
Those are the sex . Damn you guys, I didn't really want to put anymore money into the vette since I want to put my money into a '67 camaro project. But I really want HIDs and will only do them if I have retrofit headlights. Keep us updated they look killer.
