Can you please post what insurance will cost you per year with your deductibles for the vette
No way to even come close on that one for you. That depends on your age, driving record, even your location mades a difference. How many cars you have insured,,, do you have your house along with your car insurance.
All these factors come into play when you looking at car insurance.
You sound like you want a car for a status symbol. I think Vettes should be owned by people that like cars and can be appreciated for what they really are. The SVT has a fully built engine that will last forever and a day if it's un-modded. The Vette must be cared for by someone that likes cars and knows how to care for one.
I don't mean to sound like a dick, but I'm not going to impose my opinion of liking the Vette on you just because I personally like it more. The Vette REQUIRES more maintenance and work at the same time as it requires a lot more attention to detail. Considering that you're coming from a V6 Mustang and you seem to care about looking like a celebrity, I'm sure I'm not too far off when I say you probably don't know what is actually involved in the up-keep on either of these cars. Also, parts for the SVT are going to be a LOT cheaper to replace than on the Vette... Aftermarket mufflers alone cost $1,000.
Just my 2 cents.
I guess I sort of want celebrity status since I'm only 15. I can do without it. Maintenance won't be a big issue because I'll be working at a GM/Chrysler dealership and it'll get all maintenance on time and I have worked on many corvettes before
Guessing from getting quotes for other cars I'm gonna say about $1,200-$1,300 every 6 months
And the reason I mentioned there was no way to guess is I pay about 180 dollars every 6 months for the vette.
OP,,,, make the call Monday to your insurance agent and ask the difference. Thats the only true way to know for sure.
Hope this helps.
My mustang isn't that reliable. I have had to fix cruise control, passenger side mirror, tires and wheels fixed, traction control fixed, and now have a tear in the leather. All this at 66,000 miles.
Fixing tires as wheels, how do you FIX tires and wheels?? "A tear in the leather at 66,000 miles", that's the fault of the car? how well have you taken care of it??

$4,000 a month, are you kidding me? Hell, if that's the case why don't you just get a ZR1 and make payments???
And just because you've "driven" a Viper doesn't mean you can really handle a car like that when the right condition presents itself.

Kids today......
Balance and align tires and get new wheels because they were bent from the factory. I condition the leather, I've never seen leather tear in any other car that my family has owned for example my mom has a 2002 pt cruiser and we never condition the leather and she drives it everyday and it has no tears and is just starting to crack, I only drive my car twice a week for like 10 miles

why buy a zr1 when you can buy a c5 for 15000 add a pro charger or turbo for 7 grand and have more power for less than 1/4th the price. ?
Upps,,, sorry garner,, thought I had blue bloods post. LOL

Or I could buy a C6 Z06 for $40,000 and the magnuson supercharger in the zr1 for $8,000 and still come out $70,000 cheaper. Or buy a procharger for $7,000 and run 6 psi and make 622 rwhp and still come out $70,000 cheaper
