ls6 cam ready?
Im looking at camming my 2001 z06. possibly a 233/239 595/603 112 lsa. Is the ls6 able to take that size of a cam without needing to buy new
timing chain?
fuel rails?
injectors?
better rockers?
lifters?
head gaskets?
Thanks,
Will

The only thing you should get, that's on your list, is timing chain. However, you really NEED valvesprings, and you should get pushrods.

You'd be stupid not to get a better timing chain when you do a cam. Stock chains suck.
And that cam is too large unless you have heads, and a fast.
I would look at cams in the 228-230 range. Otherwise you will lose driveabillity and low end power.

I'm running 228/232 lsa 113, I do have the heads done and full exhaust. No driving issues at all. The work was done at 21st century.

I'd recommend our V4 over that particular cam, as it'll make more power and drive better. Give us a call if you have any questions or swing by our new shop in Haslet. Thanks, Chris

You'd better have good tuning with that cam. I would suggest an oil-pump while in there as cheap insurance...

You will be fine. As others have said...a good tune, chromoly pushrods, Dual springs, a timing chain and I would also suggest a UD pulley. your going to remove the damn thing anyways....
