I know everyone on here has experienced this at some time or another. I'm refering to the A-holes that park right next to you when you have made the obvious attempt to prevent door dings by parking far away from the store entrance. It's very irritating to park way out there, walk half a mile to the store only to realize upon exiting that some idiot has parked right next to you. I even take it one step farther and park on a higher portion of the lot to prevent any shopping carts from rolling towards the car.:beatdeadhors e:

It happens every time! I will park like this and make a bet with my GF that it will happen......haven't lost yet!
I was running some errands with my wife the other day and was pretty much "shopped out" when she asked that we stop at our local grocery store to pick up some items. I told her I would rather wait in the car (my daily business driver), so after dropping her off in front, proceeded to park in the next aisle.
While waiting and listening to some tunes, I was absolutely stunned at the lack of driving and parking skills I witnessed over 20 minutes. I couldn't believe how many people drove in the wrong direction in the wrong aisles against traffic and parked cars and then blowing their horns at other drivers who had the right-of-way and were pulling into the aisles correctly.
I saw a guy park his nice, new Camaro about 15 spaces away from the rest of the herd, only to see a guy pull into the space next to him within 5 minutes.
I also saw an elderly women completely blow the stop sign at the end of the aisle and almost hit another woman walking out of the store.
A few years back I was walking out of a shopping mall to my car and noticed a great-looking '68 Dodge Charger R/T parked way off by itself--the owner hoping, no doubt, to avoid door dings. Never passing up an opportunity to look over a nice '60s car I thought I'd go check it out after putting my stuff in the car. It was a good distance away, and about the time I got halfway a clapped-out pickup truck pulled up right next to the side of the Charger, threw open his door into the side of it, then roared off with the two moron occupants laughing and whooping.
I ran back to my car and tried to follow but lost the truck in traffic and was not able to get a license number. I left a note on the Charger telling the guy what I had seen but without a license number it did him little good.
I always think of that day whenever I do what that fellow did and try to park away from others.
It never fails. I've been parking and walking since I got my first nice car after graduating from college 30+ years ago. Seems the nicer the car the more of an a-hole magnet it becomes...
You should put your car in your garage and never use it.
Wait a minute. There's nothing wrong with taking pride in your ride and trying to avoid parking lot incidents. A-holes seem to congregate in parking lots and they all seem to have vette envy. Pretty bad combination. I will continue to seek out the "safer" places in shopping malls when I'm in that circumstance, which by the way, I try to avoid.
Happens to me all the time. I park as far away as I can, literally the absolute last available as far away space I can find and sure enough 4 out of 5 times there will be someone parked next to me. Now if it's a really nice car then they don't want their car to be hit either and I can understand, but most of the time its a minivan or a monster like a Tahoe or a Suburban. But what makes me nervous of all is when there is a car parked next to me and there is someone in it and they drive off as I'm approching. I once came out and saw a little kid on a bike stealing my chrome valve stem caps, the little turd got on his bike and split with all the caps before I could get there. WTF is this world coming to!!!!
You should see how fast a small wrench can go thru some morons tail light in a parking lot... I've seen it happen a couple of time but not so much now thast I'm older.
