Just passing through to check on the hair pulling and internet wedges being handed out. Very entertaining.

Easter, and the Tooth Fairy! All to bring the CLB to solve all that ails us.

Back to topic - What exactly does the dealer install with the recall?

This used to be a class forum. As the c5 Z06's get cheaper, they are affordable to a younger, lower class of people. As time goes on, this forum has lost the camaraderie and respect that members used to show each other. It was an enjoyable place to spend some time. Nothing stays the same, and thanks to you few members for destroying what was once a great forum.

What does the dealer install or change with the recall that the CLB would address?

Wait, I'm old, upper middle class, and have two degrees in psychology. OH, you're talking about the other guys. My bad. Out.

Seriously, there's some good points in the thread. Obviously, a GM goof with our machines that can be fixed with $50 lock fix and outstanding battery maintenance. Anything worth doing is worth over doing.

OK, back to business for a second. I bought a CLB for my 03Z, but have not yet installed. This thread got me looking at it again. My column is not locked, but when I turn the key, I can hear the solenoid retract, and again when the key is removed. I do know that this car had one or more of the CL recalls. What's going on? Do I have the round plate that prevents the solenoid from engaging a locking hole? Do I need the CLB?

Thanks, jcs44

I have a engineering degree, I am 53 years young, own a consulting company and testify in trail as an EXPERT WITNESS relative to Construction Defect Litigation. I could have bought a 2010 ZR1 cash last year if I wanted to ( or any other car ) but I LOVE everything about my 2004 C5 Z06 and am so glad I bought it - it's just EFFIN coooooool. Don't get you feelings hurt - it's just good healthy debate, that's what makes this forum GREAT - so put that in your smoke and pipe it !!!

here is the run I went on last Sunday = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rkwNUtIzHk

If you go to time mark 14:05 that's my Torch Red Z accelerating. I am the only one I know of who has this exhaust system, it's a one off which the prior owner had custom fabricated by a muffler shop up in northern California ?
