How many are retired
I am told that Corvettes are for old bald retired guys looking for a second childhood. I happen to be retired and bald but I'm not looking for a second childhood....I never grew out of my first childhood. So I guess I'm a two out of three guy. What say the rest of you guys. Do you fit the profile?

1 of 3 here. Not retired or bald, just older than some at 58. I got one because I wanted a fun car, a vert, kinda fast, and it had to hold two golf bags with top down. The C5 fit.

Retired at 62 (I'll be 68 next Thursday). Got my first Vette (a 94 Coupe)when I was 58. I have all my hair, but it seems to have changed color and now matches my 99 Pewter coupe.

retired but still working. Just picked up my second vette at a pretty 52!
have all my hair, not fat, hair has decided I should look distinguished.
Had cars/muscle cars my whole life. Second childhood has nothing to do with it. Those are generally statements made by the young and jealous who can't have one, or are not allowed to have one.
Good to be me!

I'm 43 with a 4 year old Son and a Daughter due to be born in July. Needless to say I'll be working for quite some time. I still have all my hair but every time I look in the mirror I find a little more salt and less pepper than before. My Vette keeps me feeling young and puts a smile on my face every time I step into the garage, and best of all it's paid for! To all my retired forum friends, enjoy your retirements, no doubt you worked hard to get there. Don't forget to wave!

Retired, will be 65 in April. Not a second childhood as this is not my first Vette. I have always had some type of performance car. This is my forth Corvette and this one is a 6 speed. I have also had Camaro's Chevelle’s, even a few Mustangs’.
So for all those that think when they see an old guy driving a Vette, you may want to think twice before you stereotype us.

Retired at 59, bald, but do have a full silver beard, definitely not my second child hood. Have always had muscle cars / vettes starting with my 69 Z28 Camaro. On the third Vette now and enjoying it more than ever !!! The following is my response to anyone that says Vettes are "Old Men's cars"

I'm not retired but it sure would be nice to be retired. But, I can say this... I do expect to have my C5Z when I am retired... even with another 20 years to go until retirement, I love this car so much, it will be with me in my elder years.
