Bought new corner lights, but have not yet installed them. I am thinking this would be a great time to install all new bulbs in the corners. The question is what bulbs are in there? I'm guessing 2 different bulbs/side....Yes? Actual bulb numbers would be nice. The corners I bought have the amber sides with the black outlining. So I'm guessing 3157's (could be clear yes? or do they need to amber?) What other bulb is in there?
I would like to buy the bulbs and have them in hand when I go to replacing the fixtures.
When you take out the old corners you may find that due to the heat of the DRL's the tops of the corner housings may be melted (see below)

You may want to consider replacing the regular bulbs with LED's (several vendors here offer them) while you are at it and spare the new housings getting melted. If you do add the LED's you would want to also add a flasher bypass (also available from the vendors). If you add the LED's without the bypass the turn signals may cycle faster (hyperflash) because the LED's draw so much less current the system thinks a turnsignal bulb is blown. The bypass fixes that, and by the way the bypass also means you will never have to replace the installed flasher, which lives behind your hazard switch in the center of your dash and is a pain to get out. The bypass plugs right in under the drivers knee pad and takes a screwdriver and five minutes to install.
Those switchbacks are in my future. Right now my DRL's are slightly different colors and I like the look of the white lights in front. Any recomendations on vendors?

JW Motoring - forum vendor. He set me up for my entire exterior LED/HID conversion.
To the OP, I strongly suggest swapping out the halogen bulbs for LED simply because of heat issue and the fact that the halogen bulbs have been known to burn through the housing. There are many really great looking aftermarket corner housings with black trim, clear trim, clear and black trim, etc. You can replace both the DRLs and the Corner turn lamps with LEDs.
Also, if you plan to get under the car and remove the corners, that would be a great time to upgrade your fogs as well.
One is a closeout, what's the story with them as compared to the others? Are all these bulbs priced per pair? Also please provide a link to the hyperflash harness.

Yes they are priced per pair. Those I have discounted just to get rid of them. 6 month warranty. I ordered them up 8-9 months ago and never pushed them.
The 39 led version is what we normally sell. They come with a 1 year warranty.
If you got clear lens and put in amber bulbs it will look kinda like an egg yolk in there when the lights are off. I put in 3157 clears. If you go with LED's they are not as bright and you will have to deal with or accept the hyperflash issue
Not sure white turn signals are even legal in every state.
Actually the DOT requires amber front markers, but in all reality no cops are going to bother you. I changed mine to clear about 6 months ago and have yet to be hassled. I got mine through JW Motoring and couldnt be happier with both the quality and the service after the sale, really a top shelf vendor!
The housings I bought have the amber lens on the side.....so I can go with clear bulbs.....right? If I want them a darker orange I should use the amber bulbs.
If I go with the amber 3157's will the driving lights be amber as well?
