RUN from the runflats...Michelin PS2's are the best tire you can buy...but if you want to save and get a fantastic tire for 1/3 the cost...can't beat the Hancooks! READ THIS ARTICLE!!!
Again, the PS2 IS the best performance tire you can buy...anyone can make a performance tire good in the dry conditions...easy to make a tire sticky...the real science comes in making one good for the dry AND the wet...

But to some people, that would be like seeing a post about committing suicide/asking how to do it. Of course we're going to try to convince to not do it!
I've got Mich Pilots on mine. No complaints at all. Got em from Costco and glad I did. Picked up a nail and pressure dropped to 8 P.S.I. They patched and plugged it and was on my way. 3 months later I picked up a screw about an inch from the first repair. Couldn't repair it because of the prox to the first repair. Costco has a road hazard waranty and replaced the tire at no charge! If it wasnt a run flat, I would have been stuck twice! Because of the Costco plan, the replacement cost me nothing.
I have the same, mine are the PS2 ZP. Love them, noise has not been a issue for me. No problems in the wet either. Last year I ran around Talladega Superspedway with them at a very high rate of speed with no issues at all.
I'd love to buy a set of Michelin pilot sports PS2/ ZP. A full set from tire rack is $589.00 front and back with a road hazrard warranty.
Just checked Tire Rack and a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP's is $1571 with Road Hazard warranty and shipped. That doesn't even include installation. Either you're joking or looked up the wrong tires. Personally, I'll be going with Discount Tires. Bought my last two sets of Pilot Sport A/S ZP's there. (Actually a set and a half...one set of fronts and two sets of rears I'll be replacing all four this time around)

I agree with the Mich Pilots (all season). Very quiet compared to other runflats.
I have goodyear emt and just purchased the Mich ps2 zp , a bit more expensive but a much softer tire. I agree with OP if you feel safe with run flats there is a reason they are made.

I started to move to Pilot Sport PS2 ZPs from A/S ZPs, with the rears in October. The PS2's in my opinion were way noisier then the A/S and they did not handle as well on wet roads. Discount Tire took them back after two months and put a new set of A/S ZPs on the rear replacing them as a courtsey. Much happier staying with the A/S ZPs, and this is my second set. I also highly recommend Discout Tire over the others. I trust them completely with my Vette and my daughters Cobalt.
