I got a thumbs down today

Back when Katrina hit, I went to fill the Vette up and somebody in an V6 Accord run their mouth off. Something to the effect that people really needed this gas that I was putting in my ridiculous "toy" car. They quickly shut their face when I explained that my wife has a V6 Accord and I get better Hwy MPG in the vette. Other than that, nothing buy compliments.
Now my SRT 10 Ram, that thing can generate some serious hate from the tree huggers! Good thing it's kinda low key and not many know what it's all about. But I've had a couple that knew and felt they had to speak their mind.

I've built many Honda's and have been a Honda enthusiast for years. I host large meets each year that attract Honda enthusiasts from multiple states. Real enthusiasts of these cars don't act like fools and have an extreme respect for Corvette and any other true performance car. Honda guys that truly build these cars, built them because they are affordable, insurance is cheap and you can make big power for next to no money.
The fools who run the streets with big mufflers hanging out crooked, acting like fools revving their engine...those idiots are the reason many of us leave the Honda scene. I love the cars, but I often hate some of the young misguided fools that own them.
This was the last car I built. I did all the paint, fabrication (manifold, charge pipes, breather system), tuning, head porting, engine build, etc. Car made 430whp/364wtq (capable of much more, but wanted reliability) and weighed 2490lbs. 1.8 liter LS/Vtec 10.5:1, E85, GT3082R, my custom manifold/charge piping, NSX custom brake conversion (polished calipers), billet suspension, PIC 1 piece coilovers. I had 10,300.00 in the build including the car. The only car that ever pulled me on the highway was a 1200hp Viper. I beat street bikes with that car.

Have you been reading the news?
Not getting a or getting a thumbs down is not the end of the world. No matter what type of car the other driver was in...

Ok I am A little upset about it because it's actually the first time I have gotten a thumbs down. Usually people respect the vehicle as I respect all other sports cars regardless of the manufacturer. I guess it really pissed me off because I thought the guy was waving at me and I waved back. 2 seconds later I realized: Ah! he was giving me a thumbs down in a beater Honda! Too late for the bird! Plus it was some weird looking thug dude. I guess I shouldn't be upset. Two points: Beater Honda and Weird looking thug dude. Still upset me though.
Wow this got a lot of responses. Thanks guys! For the record I have a beater 1991 Subaru. Also, before the vette I had a Honda s2000. Just was a little small for me and a tad bit underpowered for my liking without modding.
Two other posts I want to draw attention to:
1 - The guy could have had massive problems with his vette in the past and therefore gave me a thumbs down.
2 - I am very aware of the terrible tragedy in Sendai. In fact I gathered funds the other night at my poker game to donate to the Red Cross efforts. A close friend of the familys lost their home in Sendai.
Occasionally we come online to escape the reality and get support.

many corvette snobs will be upset at this story lol, the guy was most likely driving his beater to pick up his viper. He then decided to give you the finger because he used to drive a c5, before he had enough money to get the viper
