Not really. I'm just a hair short of 6ft. and I don't have a problem fitting in with a helmet on when my seat is in its upright track position. That's part of why the top in a vette has those bumps.
Maybe I'm just one of those lucky guys with a long torso. I guess I'll put on my motorcycle helmet and sit in the car. My seat is always way down.
And I thought it only happened to me! This is so funny I have to share it. My good buddy turned off the main road onto the road he lives on.
45 MPH limit. He's in his 02 24 valve dodge 4x4 with stacked chips (very fast) In front of him is a newer silver grey chev pickup with dark tint windows. Drivers window is down. The guy driving is going 30 MPH then up to 40 then slowing down to 30 again. Over and over so my friend decides to leave him in the black cloud of death. He floors it and passes the chevy and pumps the deadly black cloud of death into the other guys truck through the open drivers window. Next thing he sees red flashing lights behind him and the chevy pickup is pulling him over. Since they are on a country road with no other traffic the chevy pulls along side my friends dodge and rolls the passenger window down and black smoke comes pouring out the window. Turns out the cop was looking for the owner of a lost cow. Gave him a warning about slowing down and let him go. Any way I thought it was hilarious as I've done it a few times myself when someone tailgates me in my old 12 valve with a turned up pump.
As far as people messing with me when I drive my 02 Z06 It seems the mercedes crowd are always trying to prove something. Then the mustangs seem to run on envy and the new camaros want to prove their cars are as fast as a vette, I love all cars and don't mess with anyone as every one has a right to drive whatever they like or can afford. My wife loves her stupid minivan but I don't hold it against her
Sorry for the long post but I wanted to share it with everyone.
Regards to all. dieselbill
Smoking tailgaters was a blast in that old 12 valve. I'd normally give them a chance, I'd speed up a little, and if they still rode my butt, I'd slow down a little, and if they were still there, they'd get it. At night, driving 70 mph, I could throw a cloud so big that their headlights would almost disappear. My nephew wanted me to smoke him out, he said he couldn't see a thing for a little while, and smoke came into his truck through his a/c vents. I've only done it a few times, because it is dangerous, but so is tailgating.
