Door Lock issue
Hey everyone, im sure this has been discused millions of times but with using the search I cant really find my exact problem. I have a problem with my driver door lock not locking with the fob or the electric switch either. I have to do flip the switch by hand if I want to lock it when I get out of the car. Im about to have it painted so I want to get it sorted out so when its done the door pannel doenst have to come off again. Please any help would be appreciated if you have had this problem please let me know what I need to do to have it fixed.

The first thing I would check is the wiring at the hinges. Often get worn / damaged. Could also be a door module.

Does the lock "click" but not lock? It could be a faulty relay in the door control module. If so here's how to fix it and save $$.

A bad relay in the door lock control module is quite common. I had my right module replaced under waranty but it's starting to fail again.
As Red Sox Fan says, the lock just clicks when you hit the fob. With mine if I hit the fob a few times it eventually operates.
Bakersfield posted the definitive thread but unfortunately its showing as locked.

Most likely its the control module, both of my door locks have failed in the past and the window relay too. You can test by swapping the modules. Its an easy fix as posted above if you are good at very fine soldering. Mine cost $70 to fix w/ all new relays, problem fixed. PM me if you need more info.
