Default short term storage tips?

Hi all,

I'm leaving my vette sit in my garage for 5-8 weeks, just tanked up with 93 non-ethanol fuel. Is there anything else that it needs, I want to be sure she'll crank up when I return.

For 8 weeks I'd disconnect the battery or it'll be dead when you get back. Make sure you turn off the security feature on the radio if you have a stock radio. If you don't it will lock up when you reconnect.

Mine was on the boat in transit to UK for that length of time. Apart from a dead battery it was fine.

it is not a dainty little thing, 5-8 weeks is nothing. just take off the battery cable.

Dont leave an Optima Red Top for 8 weeks. With the dormant drain on the C5 it won't survive. The one fitted to my Vette on its way home to UK was DOA. Its not the battery its the car.

A battery tender should be used to keep the battery fresh. Maybe put a cover over the car to keep dust buildup down. And be sure the tires have plenty of air in them.
