totally misunderstood comment about "girl in a box", thought this was a reference to a girlfriend or wife being the cupholder:o

have removed comment, and my apologies to Girl in a Box

Dual cup or single cup?

Thanks - tom

I found if you tore the end of a Koozie (insulated can holder) off, it will squish into our cup holder and offer much needed height to hold a drink.

in place

I also bought a short piece of Plexiglass and installed two of the collapsing cup holders (from a RV store) in a staggered fashion (like Girl-in-a-box). The benefit is the holders hold to about a half inch thickness when not in use. Staggered mount allows for handles to not conflict or touch.

That's what I have, nothing better and inexpensive too, like $15. Can't even see it when not in use. What happened to girl-in-a-box?

"I had to look up Ravensdale - That was a new one on me - We had a home in Spokane for 30 years & we have a daughter that lives in Bothell - I normally get up that way once a year on a road trip - Don't know about this year but will come up to the LaMay Museum when it gets fired up in Tacoma next spring - Sounds like they are putting major dollars into the complex - Worlds largest car collection - drag strip - oval - Just a few miles from your front door"

Right next to the Tacoma Dome. Its in one of their old parking lots. No one uses them anymore with the free park and ride tower across the street. I am looking forward to it as well. There is a collection out here in Ravensdale that I think belongs to the Melby family. Not as big but sometimes on public display. I do know where Marysville CA is. I will be near it on my way home in a few weeks. On I5 though but you can see its lights from there at night. Marysville WA is bigger though. I am from CA and make at least 1 road trip to LA a year. Tow the RV with the truck. I am going to check out West Coast Corvettes this year. After all I have purchased a lot of their stuff. If you plan to check out Ravensdale when you are here don't blink or you will miss it. Its real small and rural.

Got the cup buddy this morning - looks like the hot Set-up

Really like the install directions - It says
"PLEASE ALLOW 1.5 TO 2 SECONDS TO INSTALL"

I agree.

Look at that thing. The price is ridiculous for that item.

I have the dual travel buddy. Not a perfect solution, but it works fine.

Except I painted it tan to match. Plenty of room, no problems.

The single was in the trunk of my car when I bought it. I gave it to my dad. While the stock cup holder is garbage, I find that not having a cup holder is a good excuse for not having food in the car.

However, the stock cup holder actually holds a "power" Jamba Juice cup perfectly! No joke. It sits secure and it still comes out without hassle! Luckily Jamba Juice is the only exception I make as far as food in my car because I get Jamba for breakfast when I'm on the road.

I hate the look of travel buddy and the ghetto universal cup holders on plexiglass. Although I do have a Travel buddy on order as a stop gap until something that doesn't look like a bucket of *** comes along.

Friend of mine has a pretty great looking set of cup holders in his Z4, they are apparently making some more universal cup holders that will work in the vette eventually. The cup sits on the floor out of the way of your legs, its surprisingly stable too. He asked for some measurements of my tunnel but I haven gotten around to actually doing it yet.

I'm Ok with the look of the dual buddy - I went & bought matching Thermos coffee mugs to go in them - I got stainless & black - look nice - My wife also approved & that’s a good thing since there mounted on her side -I've never had a Jamba juice - but if i buy one I'll pour it into my new insulated color coded mugs - it's all in the details
