road course his tonka toy and see how he holds up against you!!! Boost wiil do him a lot of good in the twisties!!! That is what your car is designed for, play to your strenghts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My friend at work has a built supra and he is always trying to get me to run him. I tell him that its a major waist of time because I have nothing for him. Just wondering if anyone has had the plessure of running any supra's , I know they are fast and really mean cars because I have been behind the wheel on 18 psi and this thing is a monster. On race gas he runs about 33 psi and holy crap its mean and its a street car he drives to work. Just thought I would throw the question out there and see if anyone has had the plessure .
Wait a minute? A guy with over $10k into the motor wants to race a stock car? Sounds like a typical MK4 owner to me LOL.

Been in that crowd long enough and couldn't have said it better. That is hands down the best way to describe those guys.
Tell him to make it a fair race and remove the turbos. NA vs NA, see how he likes that LMAO. Or you can remind him that his car HAS to be modified to beat yours. That wins over any race. Done it a few times LOL.
My friend has a '96 tt. BPU mods, front mount, suspension upgrades, boost controller, etc. Its a beast but never had the pleasure of running him, although i'd probably lose, but it does all come down to the driver. Any boosted, turbo vehicle is easy to modify and dollar for dollar responds the greatest to mods. What do they say, 8-10hp for every psi increase...so increase boost 5 psi can equal 40-50hp...for $20buks...come on! My worked talon could've got my c5 off the line no doubt, w/1.1 bar and awd, not much could've rivaled it but i'd much rather have a vette, although a s/c vette is probably a whole other animal. They were underrated at 320hp back in '93 imo though.

How so?
DSport mag has a project MK4 TT 6 speed. They dynoed the car(stock) and it made 290rwhp IIRC. 5% drivetrain loss from 320 comes to ~16hp for a manual and factoring in how old the car is 290whp seems pretty spot on.
Turbos make ANYTHING fast, BIGGER turbos make anything FASTER. Stock for stock he has no chance.
Look at all these chumpstangs that add superchargers to their box. They STILL cant win and then find all sorts of excuses AFTER they lose. If they happen to win. They brag till the cows come home or until someone reminds them they won on artificial horsepower.
I raced my friends automatic Supra(air filter raised boost etc) in my automatic 95 LT1 vette(k&n tune exhaust shift kit) and I pulled him pretty good...a stock c5 will beat a stock Supra.

You hit the nail on the head! The driver of a local modified WRX wanted to say he beat my Vette .... the two friends riding with him will testify that he can't.
It all depends on the level of the mods. From the sound of it he has more than a little work done to it. The smae would hold true for the vette with similar mods. Here's some videos of me and my buddy years ago. I was still running low 13's bone stock with a manual and no drag experience and he was just slightly faster, lower 13's and a high 12 with an automatic and drag radials and some mods with track experience. Now he runs high 11's and I run low 12's. Both of our cars have grown over the years.
We had a lot of fun racing each other because neither of us have big egos, we just truely enjoyed the day and it wasn't a my car versus your car. I wouldn't race anybody if I knew it would hurt the friendship. I have always been a fan of the supras styling. Lots of curves just like the C5.
