I currently own a modified C5 Z06, so I visit the site daily for tech info, new product updates, etc. Most of the members there spend their time stroking each other about how great their new replica C6 Z06 wheels look. Nobody uses the search function, and every single day someone posts a thread titled "What shifter should I buy?", "What is the best exhaust system?", and "Show me C6 wheels on your C5". People call Supra owners "ricers", but you should see all the cheap made-in-China rice mods that Vette owners brag about. Lambo doors, brightly-colored clown shirt interiors, cheap cast wheels, LED light strips, and lots of airbrushed hood murals and flames. Almost everyone there brags about how the Vette is made in the USA---but they think HREs are too expensive, so they run wheels made in China.

Back to the OP's post I also recently ran into another supra owner at a local cruise night whom I've befriended since then. Really nice guy and quite a car fanatic which I find most of the supra crowd to be. He also happened to know my buddy Donatas who is big with the supra community around Chicago.

this black one looks almost just like my friends supra at work , he and I joke around all the time about racing each other but we both know that he would wax my butt. I bust his chops about being a ricer and he rags on me about having a slow vette , but its all in fun and we both like nice cars no matter what kind they are.

Went to the local Smoothie King yesterday because the girlfriend had a craving and low and behold an MK4 pulled up a spot down from where my car was parked. The color of the car caught her eye and she said that "Oohh babe I like the blue on that Celica." To which I corrected her and told her it's a Supra not a Celica. She asked if it was fast and I said, it could be, can't really tell just by looking. We go inside to get her fix and I looked around at some of the protein and supplements. When we come back out we can see a few guys standing around my car and the Supra. We casually walk towards my car and the guys asked if the Corvette is mine and I say yes. So then we get involved in the usual car guy talk (mods, racing blah blah blah) and conveniently one of the other guys had a young chick with him so my girlfriend and her were able to laugh about the whole guys and cars without being bored while we talked. The Supra owner seemed pretty cool and said how he wants to eventually turbo the car. At that point some of the other guys reaction went from excitement to bland and they started asking even more about my car. While the other guys were admiring and complimenting on my car, the Supra owner started talking about how he doesn't like domestics and how they fell in value. I didn't say anything but I'm thinking "Seriously"? So the other guys started asking the guy to race me since his car has a much better build quality and what not. Then the girls began to interject saying how they don't want anyone to race and the Supra owner said that's the smart idea. The other guys started laughing that he was siding with the women on not to race and saying because he wouldn't stand a chance against my car. I responded, "there is always someone faster guys" to try to lighten the situation. Then the other girl responded, "yeah but there aren't as many cars as sexy as a Vette no matter how fast it might be modified to be."
