You really think a 600 hp Vette is going to stand a chance against a Supra pushing maybe 1000 hp. ZR1 prepare for an a**wiping. Lol

Would I want one over my Vette? No way. But they can be crazy fast.

ill give most turbo'ed imports the honor of a roll race when its safe to, cus when else will those guys have any fun with all the money they just spent? besides, i dont care if im beat no matter what the car is, its for fun! at the end of the day if all it takes to break my spirit is losing a quick interstate pull, ive done a lot more wrong with my life than what i chose to put under my hood

so ive raced a handful of supras (and i only race when its in good spirit, for safe fun, or on a track) and lost 2/3. one was slaughter in which i guesstimate was 800hp, one was almost dead even, one i roasted him. all in good fun though! in all 3 cases we pulled over and bs'ed about cars for a while. 2jzgte's are monster motors that deserve their due respect!

you gotta remember its the stigma of corvette owners that we're douche bags too.. you could swap the words supra/corvette in these threads and find 50 of the same things on their forums.

Actually as a member of Supraforums since 2004 I am inclined to disagree. Everyone there that I interacted with over the forum or in person were really cool up until I got a C5. Then they started acting as if I purchased a POS for some odd reason. Hostility and nasty comments were getting extremely irritating. I eventually was banned for continuously trying to defend myself even though people would attack me first. Including the moderators there

I can promise you the MK4 owners have no respect for any Corvette that isn't a C6ZR1 even though a base C5 wins in every category over Toyotas best 6speed tt Supra.

Very true...they are fast cars when the are set up right. IMO, the general consensus of Supra owners Ive encountered is no car is better than theirs because it has 1000 whp and runs 7.40's in the 1/8 mi. If you want to do standing miles its a different story

 

hmph, sucks to hear they take it more seriously than we do. oh well. its not the car you drive home in that defines you, despite what your supra forums may think. its just for transportation and fun.

 

I am friends with Donatas! He actually almost bought my '94 Supra in 2009, but couldn't scrape up the extra funds. Tell him I said "hello"!

 

Hmm. Seems like many members at Supraforums are fans of C5 FRC/Z06 models as well as non-ZR1 C6 models. Hostility not found. I have received many nice comments about my Z06. These guys seem to be big Vette fans, actually. LOL!

While you're posting biased information, why don't you post a link to the thread about the "Which forums you dislike most" where you blantantly said you dislike the corvetteforum.com C5 general forum the most and why?

Nothing I posted is "biased". Those are the exact replies left by Supraforums.com members in response to posted photos of a non-ZR1/non-Z06 C6 Corvette. I could post all the exact replies from members who gave props to posted photos of C5s as well, but it seemed redundant. The point is that members at Supraforums actually like Corvettes. Many members are past and present Vette owners. You are obviously just making your generalization based on the fact that nobody at Supraforums liked your Vette. Also, you did not get banned from the website because you were "defending" your car---according to the moderator records, you were banned for trolling. You were in a non-off-topic forum harrassing a member in his technical thread. You also were just given a temporary ban, but it was upped to a permanent ban when you violated the rules by re-registering under a new account and immediately making another anti-Supra thread. More trolling. That would get you banned over here, too. Banned for "defending" your car---LOL

What does that have to do with anything in this thread? Just another example of what AlexSmith did best at Supraforums---stir the pot just to stir the pot. That is why nobody over there misses you. The praises posted after an admin banned you took up two pages. That speaks for itself, I would say.

 

This pretty much sums up your entire mentality. What does it have to do with this thread? Pretty much everything. You insult members of this entire forum to another forum, yet come on here trying to defend a completely different group which as others here have posted, have been met with general disdain from that group.

Unfortunately it is not impossible for me to link the thread here to put into black and white just how you feel about this forum when it comes to you posting on another forum. But therein lies your true character. However, as others have posted, when meeting someone that drives a Supra, they are generally met with a negative attitude due to the pedestal that Supra owners seem to put themselves on. It would be nice to see you actually post a link to the off topic thread where you insulted this forum and it's members but, we all know you won't do that. So you can say anything you want to in an attempt to discredit me but, until you post the facts, you may as well fade away.
