I was just going to mention, and not to serve as a lecture, but for the average car looking for more power from the fuel a better alternative (one that works) to using race gas is to use ethanol free fuel like you might seek out for your boat.
This is true... 102 oct driven out.. back to 93 oct.
PRE-Z06, i will be getting with you soon for one of your clutches. doing my H/C/I on Tuesday. Have a friend with H/C putting down 450 to the wheels, just installed one of your clutch sets and loves it..

My tuner (shop) actually tried to talk me into tuning for the E85 (alcohol based fuel)?? I am a bit skeptical... They explained it.. doesn't burn like GAS and there are actually several E85 gas stations close to me... Kicking it around, don't know enough about it..
Some guys in C6 section are running it and seeing up to 40rwhp with just E85 and a tune on near stock cars. Seeing less overall fuel mileage though. I'd try it but there are very few E85 stations in my area.

Just curious what kind of gains they said you may see? I know E85 works good for boosted cars.
Hmmm... wonder if my milled 59cc heads,G5X2,Ported FAST 92, 42lb SVO's, custom tune count...?
Placebo effect? I think not... Thanks for your input though..

THANK YOU for the lesson though.. Perhaps you should have asked if my car was stock instead of giving me a lecture... just a thought. Not calling anyone a jerk... I posted up, good, bad, no worries here.. we all have opinions.. thank you again for your input... moving forward... back TTT
So In another thread you are just dropping off your car to install these parts, but in this one you are stating the car already had the mods
I actually saw a Mustang Cobra ( 93-95???) being tuned for the E85 fuel today.. this guy put down 589hp and 463 tq..ofcourse he had a good sized turbo on the car...but wow... incredible...
I'm not real sure about mine.. thinking im gonna stay w the 93 octane..

Now that that's out of the way, you should see if your tuner would be willing test tune your car for E85 and then gas just for comparison sake. C'mon we need a C5 E85 guinee pig, and you should be that person as punishment to correct your previous indiscretions
