those are good numbers I running a close set up. I'm hoping once I get my vararam intake I'll be close to 430ish I'm running the stock intake with just a zip tie mod
The torquerv3 is a killer "cam only" shelf cam. With the typical supporting mods and 243's, manual trans and 3.42's it has put down 440/410 repeatably. But....the lift is no joke, make sure not to skimp on springs and also check and double check your wipe pattern. With that large lift the geometry of the factory lifter is pushed to the max (scroll design).
That being said...the v3 intake ABDC is at 44* versus the v2 at 47*. So its going to put a little more bottom end in it and also a little more DCR. I truely do not understand why guys still consider the v2 ?? It even says on TSP site that the v3 is a revised version to the v2. I would assume that they are scared of the lift in the v3....both of these cam have very aggesive lobes...(LSK/XER) be warned.
Thanks.......and good luck with the new found power.

I have all the supporting mods. The cars makes 386 rwh now,Also i bought the underdrive pulley for when i change the cam.I want to still be able drive the car on a 300 mile trip and enjoy.THANKS
The drivability will be in the hands of your tuner. The v3 is completely capable of daily driving duties...although...it will be a nasty idle (in a good way). Everyone will know your ride is serious....what exhaust/mufflers are you running ??
Thanks.....

Car has lg headers high flow cats and ghl bullets, it has varram cold air ported polished tb 160 t stat and tuned
Here is a idle clip of my Z back when I had the Torquer v3 cam and dynomax bullets. And of course the typical supporting mods, including TSP long tubes, x-pipe (all 3") and no cats.

Man that thing sounds good, did you like the cam. They recommended the torquer v3.I ask him about piston and valves clearance and he said it would be no problem
Yeah...I liked it.....the only reason I changed was because I went to a "larger" cam and choose different lobes for my new topend.
Like I was saying...the v3 is a top contender for a shelf cam. With a 4.10 gear this is a high ten second ride with the right driver. The cam does very well....with our cars being relativly light, there is really no "lag" in the power curve and combined with the manual trans it is a real animal.
The ptv issue is as TSP said....theres room. I cant remenber the exact clearance but it was fine. As long as your still on stock head gaskets and heads are untouched on the deck you will be fine. Iirc I my pushrods checked to be 7.425" but you will want to double check your length and preload.
Thanks.....with the v3 and typical bolts ons I was able to walk other cars with "bigger" mods.
Thanks.......

I went with the tsp 233/239 114lsa and love it. I dynoed 432/400 with lg lt, varram, borlas, underdrive pulley. Car makes power everywhere. Its weird because the power curve feels like my z did with the stock cam but with about 45rwhp more. Im taking it to the track on friday to see how it does. Also being on a 114lsa the cam is very streetable
