Default Retractable front plate?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these? How was the install? Did you think it looked OK? How well did it function? I am thinking of adding this mod and looking for any input. Thanks!

Hi!
I have the manual one on my Vette. I had to mod it because of the shape of the Norwegian plate. It works great!

I've had the motorized one for over a year. It works fine.

Nice fit Frank. How did you modify it? Looks better than mine I have another smaller plate but it's not really legal here in UK.

I like being able to stow the plate out of sight but not impressed with the look when its out. If I was doing it again I'd buy the motorized version.

Maybe I'll look at that to see if I can move it to the centre. Looks great.
I flew that F4 on my first Squadron in 1976. Great jet.

A guy I know locally put one on his car. He has a VARARAM intake. He was having some strange drivability issues with the car, and realized when the license plate was in front of the intake it was causing issues.

Just be aware they don't work well with the VARARAM.

Have though about getting one of the motorized ones - may add that to my mod list.

I had a manual and bent it when it was stowed away from a speed bump at 5 mph. I'm now on my second retractable and love it. Be careful around speed bumps. The Forum is selling it for less than Fleabay.
