[Z06] blinking check engine light

Ok the verdit is in. I do have a bad valve spring. The retainer held,so the valve didn't drop.The car also has a bad wire on the same cylinder. They suggested I have all the springs replaced along with plugs and wires. I would like to upgrade springs,but my little budget allow it so I'm goin with the latest GM springs.
I just hope these are better than the first set. I read that later spring are an inprovement over earlier ones.

Well I finally got my car back yesterday and man what a difference. I don't have that noise that I had before (sounded like detonation) and it runs smoothly. Appearently GM has an upgraded valve spring for this engine as I was told mine was replaced with. The tech also has a 2002 Z06 that he road races at VIR. He told me it was fine and I could drive the car that way it was meant to be driven. I strongly feel that this spring was a problem for a long time because the car always made that noise until now. They gave me the old parts too which is cool because I wanted to see the bad spring and plugwire. The plugs were not original they were DENSO'S . They were replaced with GM iredium's. After paying for the work I gave it a quick wash,drove it a little then put it back in the garage until the next nice day I can stretch it out a bit.
