I ordered the o2 extensions from LG. Waiting on TWmotorsports.com to hook me up with the hyperflash harness (b/c I do have led turns and reverse lights, and it only started happening when I installed the leds)

teaser of the tinted tails (came out a little darker than I hoped, but I'm hoping they won't be bad when outside in the light):

jw's hyperflash harness works perfectly, i have one on my car... lg gave me a set of their o2 adapters to use the rear o2's in the front bung... i walked in their shop and picked the headers up though and those adapters were not in the box and they handed them to me separately... i think caspers also makes this harness

hyperflash harness is on the way. o2 sensors are in and very cleanly tucked away and secured. No melted wires here. changed the oil. Now I'm messing with my darn windshield wipers….they don't want to park. I can turn them off, they will hesitate in the park position, then quickly swing back up and proceed to stop at full up…..so I gota figure this out now.

Tails are in though, header bolts are retorqued, clutch fluid changed. I'm so pumped to drive this thing….it sounds so mean up top in the rpm!!

think it turned out ok? (in the light, you can see more red. I'm happy with it)

First ride of the year!!!!!!!!

First off, It was awesome. Thing pulled like crazy. The headers and tune definitely gave her some gitty up. It sounds awesome at idle and WOT. I love driving this thing. Its so comfortable and powerful…I could live in it if it could do some other things too wink wink…

The bad…..I still have the flashing lights, even after the install of the corvette enhancements hyperflash harness!!!!????? WTF is going on here. I have no idea. Maybe someone can help me yet. Could it be the key pass? Security light was staying on, but now it isn't…..I don't know what to do. Once I turn the lights (drl or headlights) the flashing stops…..could it be a turn signal relay or something?

Also….I drove about 45 minutes to go get a package from ups. On the way back, after five minutes of driving, the check engine light came on. I don't know what thats about either. The tune should have tuned out any codes from no rear o2's….oil level and pressure is fine….it all checks out. I forgot to pull the codes but this is frustrating me…Maybe one of these days I'll figure this thing out ….

Anyway, here are some pics. All ready to run, and also my new project with it. I just couldn't stop doing little things to it haha….I can live with it being a never ending project. I'll never get tires of working on her.

Overlays and jake keychain acccent, compliments of 1sikvette:

tinting the reverse lights, 3rd brake light, and side markers (Murder She Wrote!!!!!):

Now the new "project" Painting the exhaust with 2000* Rustoleum primer and 2000* matte black Rustoleum paint. Its gona tie the whole thing together I'd say:

Now drop it down some and remove that logo from the right rear bumper.

thanks man. I do need to lower it a bit. I may just end up waiting and getting coilovers because the roads where I live aren't all that great. I don't want to lower it on the stock bolts unless its just an inch or an inch and a half because I don't want the ride to suffer.

Got the side markers, 3rd brake light, reverse lights, and tails tinted. Also painted the exhaust flat black and the exhaust plate area. I did 3 coats of 2000* primer and 6 coats of 2000* paint. I really like how it turned out. Only thing to finish off the murdered look is black lug nuts from Gorilla (which are on the way)

Enjoy:

Thanks man!! I'm about done with her for now (once I do the lug nuts). What do you think about the exhaust? Think it tied it all together? or looks out-of-place/trashy? IMO its just perfect for the car's "look"

back to life!!!

Lowered it to the max on the stock bolts:

Plasti Dipped the badges to complete the black out look:

I dipped my tool box and then removed the black from the handles and it worked it pretty good:

…….. I tried to remove the plasti dip from the badge to expose the red "Z." Being that the lines of the Z itself are so close together, when I used an exacto knife to try and cut the edges before I removed the plasti dip, it simply lifted up the rest of the dip around the edges. I then tried to paint it red over the black, and that didn't work either.

Any suggestions? OR does it look fine ALL black the way it is now? Any input or opinions are appreciated! She's still running great, and I've been having the summer of my life driving my dream car. Thanks guys

Also thinking about taking the rear badge off and the intake badge off and painting them black, then painting the Z red over the black. Or.... Just masking the Z off and use the red that's already on it. Then remove the old, and on with the other two. Just spitballing..... Whatda ya think?

Thank you sir! The LG's were not bad at all to install and sound bada$$. I figured the valve springs, new valve seals and locks, spark plugs and wires, and of course gaskets were in order (especially since I used the air compressor method to hold the valve springs up when changing the springs, and the spark plugs needed to be removed to do that anyway). New spark plug wires are almost guaranteed to be in order, because the stock ones will "rip" and come apart easily when you remove them. Also…..the spring tool I used worked VERY well (2 springs at once too which was nice). For $70 bucks from Summit, you cant go wrong. I would HIGHLY recommend the spark plug wire socks for the heat the LG's put out

Thanks for the compliments. After lowering the Z, I noticed a slightly harsher ride. The handling improved, though over bumps in turns….it jostled the chassis a little more than normal. I didn't notice any clearance issues compared to before (stock). I do kind of cringe when going over highway bridges because the expansion joints can be somewhat harsh now. The front air dam is about 3 inches off the ground now, but I live where the roads and parking lot entrances are NOT that great, and I have not had any problems. The look has greatly improved. I would recommend it. I went to the max on all four corners btw. Here are a couple good links I used to do it (NOTE: taking the tires off and having it lifted a little when doing it makes it SOOO much easier):
