It's amazing how personal this thread has become. I've had my sanity questioned, been told to "Man up", etc. But it is entertaining to say the least!
Don't worry about it. I don't know if this is your first vette or entry into the internet car forum scene, but human nature dictates most people get that Travis Tritt thing going on with a keyboard in their hands.

It used to bother me and I thought what a bunch of jack asses. I came close to selling my C4 and buying a new pick up. But I bought the C5 instead and I'm glad I did. Most of the real good guys don't bother coming on here, then some of us have more time than we need and end up yapping on here about stuff that's none of our business and know very little about.
But the rule is, don't start threads about this type of thing unless you can stand the heat. There are some pretty good reasons to use premium, but at the end of the day, it's your car.
The good thing is you read the opinions and form your own. Most opinions never change and I know mine on gas are fixed. Some are outdated, some based on fact, some on experience and some on myth. Its an absolute truth that in the end its your car and you choose.
Haha , but it always seems when these threads come up I still have not heard of anybody destroying an engine from the lack of high or low octane or from not changing oil enough. Just plain old good reading. With out abuse of course.
