I know this been discussed plenty of time but none of them were talk about my problem. Their are no codes on the DIC . Before i move the cars both abs/traction control lights are off, when i moved the car both lights pop up. Do i need to clean my grounds since their are known for this( which one) or something else? I'm still learning bare with me. thanks
Try unplugging and plugging the largest connector, multiple times. I had a nagging ground issue, even after cleaning all the ground connections. It turned out to be the main wire harness connector as being the culprit. I simply unplugged and plugged it in a few times and voila, no more ground problems for the last few years.
I had intermittent problems with ABS/Traction Control alarms until I replaced the battery. The car would start up just fine and the changing level (voltage) looked within limits but the battery was due so I changed it just to be on the safe side. Guess what, I've not received any alarms since then. This is not the way things were when I started driving a couple of years ago (1962). If your car had a 12 volt system you were in tall cotton.
Post all the codes including the H or C or HC that follow each 5 position code.
That why i said their was no codes on the DIC cause i already try this method or else i would have never post this thread and just find out what the code mean. But thanks
So just so we have this right:

You followed the procedure and pulled the codes prior to starting the car and dont see anything in the TC section.
Then you start the car (and before you move) you have no ABS/TC lights on on the dash.
Only when you move the car you see ABS/TC lights on the dash.
When you shut the car down and pull the codes (after the light has been on) you dont see any codes in the TC secton?
======================================
Are all of the statements between the lines above correct?
Because the code should be set when the light comes on, never heard of it not setting. People have had the light go on then off and problem is intermittent, but there is a code set when they check.
You have anything else going on electricaly with the car?
Dash dims, text/warnings scrolling on the DIC, bunch of bells going off?
Does the light come on only when you take your foot off the brake and roll a bit, or immediately?
Power seats work (if you have them)?
Radio presets/Clock stays set?
So just so we have this right:

Yes you are correct between the lines. right when i hit 1mph its comes on, when the cars off everything back to normal. when the car not on after the lights pop up still no codes afterward because its not their anymore. Everything else work that just the only problem.
You mention that you get the lights "when you move the car" I assume this means you are driving the car. Does the light come on as soon as you begin to drive or do you need to reach a certain minimum speed before the lights illuminate??? More specifics of when the lights illuminate would be helpful if possible.
Do you have other symptoms such as the return to default of DIC items you normally have displayed???? For example if you were monitoring coolant temp and then shut off the car, when you restart does it return to vehicle mileage????
Right when i move the car it comes on but when i shut off the car to get the codes its gone like it wasnt their when i just got it...its weird. Yes when i shut the car down it normal again.
Being careful not to injure yourself or anyone else pull the codes while the car is moving or at least before you shut it down.
If there are errors showing in the DIC while you are moving you may need to press the reset button to clear them first.
I clear them when i start the car and move it once the lights pop up i shut the car down and try to get the codes. My guess is that over the winter a couple of years back (when it happen never got a chance to fix it) rat got into the car and bit most of the wire and i manage to get it fix and also kill a baby rat that was still inside the car maybe its a shortage somewhere but i don't know. I just have time now and mine well fix it.
8vette7...how can we make it throw a different code?
Just something thats easily disconnected...to purposly throw a code.....drive the car...let it set something on the DIC...shut it off....turn it back on to ACC position....check codes...see if its there.
See if he's storing any codes, just to verify that its not something exclusively related to the AH/TC. Could be two things going on, the AH/TC problem and something thats wiping the diagnostic codes every time he starts the car (short? bad component?).
Think just pulling the fuse for the radio would cause it to throw the (80 No radio found) or disconnecting the plug under the drivers seat to throw one of the seat control codes?

Just a thought.
I did what you said earlier still no codes...i dont know why it wont throw any codes so i can get this thing fix. One year i found out that my abs/tc fuses blew up i change it, it went away than came back within an hr look at the fuse again still the same i just want this fix
Well I have no idea what would cause that....but I do know who may very well know

Good luck
Yep my writing skill not great but might give him the link to this thread
OBD i replace my battery a couple months backs fix a couple of issue but not the abs/trac
Dave68 which connector did you do it on?
I been have this problem for almost 2 years but never got the chance to fix it just seeing it gets on my nerves forgot to add to my post it a 2000 frc
I am thinking that Dave68 is referring to the connector at the EBCM. It is at the front of the engine on the drivers side (at least it is on my '02). I was having intermittant TC/AH issues, so I removed this connector and sprayed some electrical contact cleaner on each (male/female) side (also cleaned up several ground contacts around the engine bay at the same time), and have not had any issues since.

Hmm will try that clean the ebcm cause i already clean the ground around the bay thanks for the tip
