i dont feel the same way-i nev get waves when in the ford, so i dont even think about waving
Think about it.
There are considerably more Mustangs out there than there are Corvettes. For me, I probably see 50+ Mustangs for every Corvette that I see.
The vast majority of the Corvette owners are car enthusiast of some degree or another. That is not true of most Mustang owners. Some are, but not the majority, so they do not share the same bond that we do. However those that are enthusiast love their cars every bit as much as we do.

I thought that I would add another layer to this topic. Whenever Im on the road cruising, traveling down the highway, or sitting in a restaurant parking lot having a burger, it never fails that somebody with a Mustang of one model or another (incl 6 cyl models) will either pull up next to me to start a my **** is bigger than yours conversation, or on the road hes riding up my TI exhaust, or coming from behind full throttle from a mile back to pull along side me to entice me into a race. In that scenario, I usually drop back a few mph to **** him off where he wants to look for somebody else. My point to this is there are some Mustang owners that obviously didnt get the apples/oranges memo. I dont even pay attention most of the time. Now a Porsche, I might give him a look see, but thats a little more understandable.
Funny my buddy in his Lambo says the same thing when vettes roll up on him......everyone can nitpick someones car. Just be happy someone appreciates your car, b.c if they want to run your car, odds are they respect it and wanna see if theres can keep up.
Looks like an Eclipse and a Hyundai with BMW wheels . I love Mustangs - they are; to me, one of the BEST performing cars that can handle a bunch of abuse and be driven very, very easily as a DD in any type of weather. I will always be a Vette owner but I will also always have a Stang/Cobra next to it in the garage. The way I look at it - the parts are cheap, they aren't difficult to work on, they are an American icon, they have huge aftermarket potential, and they are one of the respected cars on the road. Now I will agree that there are plenty of Mustang owners who are not enthusiasts but the same can be said for Camaro/Trans am owners. It doesn't take away from the car itself. Now while there is no comparison to the Corvette - when comparing it to every other car in it's class - the Mustang holds it's own very well if not coming out as one of the top dogs.
I'm just happy to be alive in this day and age of really high horsepower cars that can be driven all year round and comfortably.
