In instances when I have to use valet parking (underground hotel parking), I always write down the mileage for my copy and also write down the mileage on another slip of paper and leave it by the shifter. This way, they know I’m keeping tabs on the mileage. I also treat the employees with respect as opposed to being a condescending ***** as I have witnessed before.

Not defending this jerk, as that he was, but you know a real Corvette owner would not hand over their vert, top down to a valet when leaving on a cruise. Just wouldn't happen.
