Seeking front plate advise

Apparently he doesn't have anything better to do. I've lived in Texas since 1987 and have never put a front license plate on any car I've owned here. The only time I've ever been hassled about it is when I'm on my way back from Arizona and pass through the inspection station at the state line, and then it's just a warning to get it taken care of.

Melting Slicks
I think it was Mid America Motorworks, but somebody had them offered pre-painted in the factory colors a few years ago. My previous '99 was Sebring Silver and I just ordered my surround in color and was good to go.
I haven't received my new catalog from them yet, so I don't know if they still do or not. If not, major bummer as I was planning to do the same thing again!

Drifting
I just did this with a clear license cover, similar to others:
(In natural light)
(In garage, no natural light)
Simple can of millenium yellow from Paint Scratch, white primer, and clear coat. However, I painted the outside rather than the inside like most people do. I tried it on the inside on my first attempt and the tint of the plastic cover totally screws up millenium yellow (much darker). Painting on the outside turned out great!
