I just purchased a 2003 zo6 yellow in color. but the odd thing is, it had the red interior. I know they made a few of these cars, but it is a color combo i am not into. anyone on here have any words of wisdom to talk me out of changing it all to black? I am a little bit of a purest but this one has me scratching my head.
That's a very odd color combo. You can convert it pretty easy. Try listing it in the parts for sale section and see if you can find someone to swap with you.

Silly man........
You bought a car that has a limited production run, and now want to put it back to boring black?
Sell it, cause if you truly are a purist, then you are gonna regret changing the car up.
My 04 Z had a black interior when I bought it. I have always loved the Mod red/Machine silver combo, so I swapped it over and have not regretted it one bit. Yeah, the yellow/mod red combo is rare, but I say do the car up the way that makes you happy. Don't know if your budget allows, but have you considered keeping the mod red parts and swapping it back if you decide to sell it? The conversion was a breeze.
Myself, I've never cared much for the mod red interior but I believe I'm a minority on this opinion.
I'm right there with you. It probably has a lot to do with my color blindness, but I really do not care for the red interior. I'm very happy with my two-tone shale/black, although I do want to change my standard seats for the sports and go with a two-tone cover on them.

Yes, it was a rare color combo but if you are not happy with it, then do what makes you happy and swap it out. As was mentioned, you might be able to swap with someone who wants a red interior.
the price was right so i couldnt pass it up, so i was able to get over the opening the door for the first time I think i would like the mod red interior in any other color car.
You would not have a hard time at all selling your mod red interior. Guys are always looking for mod red interior pieces. However, having said that, I personally would leave the car as is simply because of the uniqueness. Would I choose that color combo? Hell No! But it certainly makes people look twice!

The issue is the seats. Why not compromise and just replace the seatskins? The rest of the red works fine as it is more in the background and lesser surface area. I have the black seatskins with just a touch of red...you might want to do this....

I think it's fine as is. Different, but doesn't beat you over the head too much.
I like it the way it is... looks really cool to me, and being rare is a plus as well... I'd trade u my all black and put that in my Pewter Vette in a second!!!
that mod red and yellow is sickining. but it does make the car very rare. save all the red parts and swap in black and when you go to sell it. swap it all back. or sell it now and buy another with all black interior. those are your choices. but dont be dumb and get rid of all the mod red pieces.
