I think a lot of C6 owners are first timers and don't know the tradition of the wave. I find that most true Vette lovers feel they have something in common and treat other Vetters as family, therefore, they wave. I have no problem meeting strangers that drive Vettes and talking to them like we have always been friends. I have owned Corvettes since I was 19. I am hoping the people that buy and own them don't change this camaraderie!

I wave to any enthusiast looking vehicle or motorcycle (including police) and usually get a wave / nod back with the that look that says "we both understand why we drive what we drive and the roads we are on"

I am in S cal and most times on Canyon Roads, so not too many garage queens rolling about.

Good point man, good point. On that note, as a new owner I am going to try and keep it alive. Like I said earlier, I was informed I MUST do it, according to the previous owner .
See you all out there. I'll be the one waving the bird if you don't wave back

I've found that most 'Vette drivers in my area wave - even the C6 drivers. I drove past a beautiful '65-'67 a couple of weeks ago. He waved too.

I occasionally will get a wave from a C6 owner, most don't though, now I don't even bother with them unless they wave 1st..All other gens seem to return the wave etc..

I wave to all vette owners. Whats funny is I even wave to them when I'm not in my car. Just today I was waving guy with a C6 GS and I bet he was thinking I was a hobo or something.
