While replacing my driver's side window regulator, I noticed that this rubber seal has broken down into a bunch of tiny pieces...is it important? Should I replace it? Thanks!

I think that's what's left of the insulation gasket. It covers the whole opening. Important, no, nice to have, yes. Fairly inexpensive. The dealerships, major vette aftermarket suppliers, gene, all sell them still I think. I covered mine with frostking peel and stick foil covered foam insulation from lowes

Thats your water splash curtain. It keeps water from splashing onto your inside door panel when water reaches the inside of the door. You should replace it .You can just cut a peice of heavy plastic and press it on to the sticky sealer. Will do the same thing.

If it were me, I'd replace it and seal that area up.
