Can you drive your vette in a "Spritied" way without exceeding the speed limit?
I can't, at least by my definition of spirited. If I size up a corner and take a line the car is so capable that it takes that line pretty effortlessly at the speed limit.
I don't consider racing away from a traffic light as spirited driving, either. But even at that, the car gets up to the speed limit so quickly its kind of effortless, even on highway on ramps.
I am a spirited driver my speed limit is what I want it to be I am also ready at all times to be pulled over and cited. I drive 43 miles one way 5 days a week I am on the freeway by 4:45am the first 7 miles I drive about 72mph 7 over and dont get bothered. They do lidar thur out this area in 4 differant spots never knowing where they are each morning so no need to chance it. Then it's all about how I feel the rest of the way I drive the vette 3 days a week the other 2 days I drive my other Chevy it has 300k miles and still gets it but I only drive it 70-75 the whole way to work. Certian area's I hit it in the vette then let out. not many drivers out at this time. The exit I take for work is very sweet as you get off the freeway it is a long left sweeper. I think top speed for it would be about 140 never done it but at 80 its a walk in the park. Then it sweeps to the right for about 1/8 mile still around 140 would be ok but again tops is xx then at the end it is about a 4 deg. bank to the right again with a hard left to the light 60 is smooth. The thing is their is a 5 foot tall concrete wall on your left side and you cant see over it in the vette on your right its all dirt. Now spend 8-10 hrs at work the drive home sucks as every moron is trying to get home useally 2-3 wrecks a week going home so speed limit is 29-45 mph all wrecks are rearenders.

Pops, either I had to many beers when I read that or you had too many when you wrote it lmao
Don't have to exceed the posted limit to be cited. They can write you for Exhibition of Speed, Exhibition of Horsepower, Careless/Wreckless Driving, etc.
If what you are doing is considered to be irresponsible, there can always be consequences.

When I think of "spirited" driving, I think of "spirited twisties." Personally, I look for the most crooked two lane, isolated road I can find, and there’s plenty where I live, and have a BALL !!!!!
Having a nice, good looking Vette is one thing, but the car was made to drive!

Sometimes it is hard to stay at or under the speed limit but find the right road, and you can still have some fun while keeping the speed within the limit. We have a few twisty roads around here that even at the speed limit can be challenging.

When I traded in my Camry for my C5, I swore I wouldn't be one of those who pull away from the red and haul all out till I back down at about the speed limit. Well guess what.
And I agree about the hwy ramps. It's a nuisance to have to brake at the end of the ramp because of going faster than the rest of the cars.
Also, there is a super-tight S turn in my area most drivers slow to a crawl - like 5 mph. I try to straighten the line as much as possible - I'm working my way to hit it at 40 mph.

Many in my area think of the speed limit as a dare. "Go ahead, I dare you to drive 45." Now that I have bought a custom exhaust, I want to hear it roar when I am first at a light, or whatever. But I do fear that one day I'll be nailed for being an exhibitionist.

You're lucky. In this part of Florida curvy roads are few and far between and, of course, there are no hills.
One of these days I'm going to organize a NC drive up NC Route 8 to Virginia. What a great drive with one turn after another, elevation changes, and rustic country scenery.
It would be cool to get 10-15 Corvettes of various vintages together to meet for breakfast at IHOP, drive the route, then hit a spot for some pulled pork for lunch. It would make for a great Saturday morning cruise.
I love to drive my car in a spirited fashion. Just the other day I was running almost 70 MPH. I scared me so bad I slowed down to the 65 MPH speed limit.
I've never been able to do that, but then I guess it depends on how you define "Spirited". Corvettes are designed/engineered to perform at a level that greatly exceeds the norm. Speed limits are set using something other than Corvettes as a standard.
