With all of these ash tray doors being removed, does anyone have a shale colored one laying around? Someone in the past had something in the space but the cover is long gone
Even a black one would work, I'm capable of using a rattlecan without making too big of a mess

Yes, I trimmed the back of the door so it covers the GPS...like when in airport parking lots, etc. I leave it in the glove box until needed.

Not to hard. You have to be careful when you trim the ash tray unit - use a Dremel and constantly checked that you don't removing to much. The ash tray is attached to a metal frame with one rivet which can be removed with a little work.

Default Home Link, cheap and works great.

I'm now looking for a Homelink enabled rear view mirror, however I have not been able to find one with all the bells and whistles that I want (map lights, autodimming, Homelink) that doesn't look like it belongs in a Silverado pickup truck. In the meantime, the remote brick sits in the center console with little room for anything else.
Bought a homelink visor from a salvage yard for $15. Bought a piece of black leather for $2. Made a cover for the home link and mounted it above the mirror. used double backed tape to hold the front to the w/s moulding, the back rests on the mirror. Looks OEM and works great.

I have my seat heater switches in there. I made up the panel myself. The Corvette logo is gone now.

If it is the size of the 8 track tape why are you using it?

You do realize you can use another remote don't you?
