I will be happy with 410hp and praying the torque hits 400. If it does It will meet my needs.

Stainless works arrived today....They look really nice. Quality of the welds is great!

Cam about three weeks away so it may be closer to Christmas before all comes together.

I'm glad you went with the 1-7/8" headers. I've seen such awesome TQ gains with the larger size...even on stock heads and even stock LS's!!!!

can I recommend a couple of things?
Elite Engineering tunnel plate.
Ceramic Powder Coat

The tunnel plate for obvious reasons. Your gonna have the exhaust off anyways, might as well put something nicer up there to help with cabin heat.

Ceramic Powder Coating is AWESOME! I am into either the brown or the black colors. The black, for obvious reasons. It will STAY black, Won't discolor and I've seen 1k+ boosted motors on dyno's not change the color. It will look nice and stealthy under the hood. Typing of brown, I dig the brown look because they will look factory. Here in CA if a cop pops your hood, or a smog ****, they look for shiney things. Brown looks so damn factory they bypass the LT's and look for something else.
The Ceramic properties also help keep the heat in. Small investment for a bit of stealth and comfort, IMO.

That cam is a good choice! Big cams give you big issue's. Mainly lifters, rockers, and hollow valves. So the small to mild cams are my favorite choices (unless your going for bigger cubes). I think you'll find that cam to have a NICE chop to it, but still maintain that D/D experience. At WOT your gonna REALLY like it. As a combo, you should be nice and happy with your money well spent.

Keep us posted

I struggled with the 1 7/8 but was certain that any future modification would warrant the purchase now.

Concerned they would cause me to loose low end which is what i'm after but in all honesty the car could never hook on street tires. That means the car will gain topend.

Looking at the tunnel plates and also a pfadt transmission mount.

The cam was not off the shelf since we changed the lsa so we'll see how it performes.

PCMFORLESS "aka Alvin" will be tuning the car once it's done.

Thanks for your suggestions and keep them coming.

I think that's a great choice for your use. Wouldn't hurt to get your TB ported. Lingenfelter does it for $90.

Unless your building a track only Vette Stay away from solid or poly urethane mounts! I had the VBP in mine and the ride is horrid you feel and hear every vibration and every bump in the cabin. there is alot....No joke worst mod I ever did.. I am pretty sure it assisted in the demise of my clutch (along with a poor tune) As soon as I replaced the clutch that Poly transaxle mount came out!!!! Good ride again....It was bad man....I would re consider if you want to make that specific drive train mod.....

BTW I though we were guessing at numbers W/O the cam my bad.... My new guestimate will be 407/405

No joke replacing the Transaxle Mount was the worst decision I ever made..... After I had the stock T/A mount put back in my 443/396 2000 FRC, the ride was 1000 times betteragain and I never had an issue. And I run a car hard.

Again I will think long and hard on this....just trying to protect the driveline componets.

Don't go any smaller than 224/228(230) cam, you will regret it. I have a 224/230 cam and it makes power everywhere. I have RPM CNC'd heads and my car makes 450rwhp with LG Streets (see photos for dyno chart). And zero drivability issues. If I had a Z with better gearing I would have went with a little more intake duration, most likely a 230/236 cam. Good luck!

Well the cam is speced and being ground as of Thursday. So hopefully it will perfom as described by EPS.

I will never change the gear in this car. If modifications ever get that serious, I would buy another can and procharge it!

Don't get hung up on peak numbers that occur at 6500rpm, if you don't plan on being there often they are meaningless to you. The cam that was spec'd for you will be great and will be 20-30ft-lbs above a peaky high hp cam in the lower rpms.

Do a thread on it. See what some of the other members have to say about it. all the rotational mass vibration from the flywheel to the tires (there is more than you think) is directly transferred into the cab.....
When I first drove my car after having the VBP poly mount/Centerline clutch and RAM Flywheel/FAST 92mm intake and LS2 TB..... I was sick feeling inside,,,, the vibration was so horrable, I thought something was really wrong, I went around the corner then straight back to the shop and they told me it was the Poly mount....I felt like I was driving a race car everywhere I went....Fun at first, felt like I was driving a monster...In the end it is your choice.

Fully understand what you are saying and most certainly do not want the the firmness to be excessive.....I was just looking for something to stiffen the drivetrain from possible hop?

Great tires and a good driver. I have experienced wheel hop only 1 time and it happend when I took off and then clutched it to do a rolling burnout. It was minor and nothing broke. Some Billstein Sports will help to tighten up the chassis..
