Nitrous was fun in the 5.0l ford days, let's be honest they need it. Once these cars put down 420 at the tires what more do you need?

If I want a race car I will buy a mustang and put a BBC in it.

Wasn't looking for power adders in the form of FI/N2O when this bug hit me.

Dont have anything against either just no nitrous for this car. If a power adder is needed, will most likely do a Magnacharger.

I'm pushing 421rwhp with my torquer2 cam, lg pro headers, and a halltech bee2. I cant even get traction on the street. It pulls like hell in the midrange. All I wanted was an 11sec.car and I'm happy with the results. I changed my mind at the last second wanting an A&A supercharger.

Spoke to Geoff at EPS last Monday. He explained he was very sorry for the delay and that my cam should be here by Friday the 21st. Still no cam if its not here by Friday the 28th I will cancel the order. Very frustrated at this point.

Geoff called on Friday and said the cam was shipping from Tennessee today? Funny how i called the credit card and disputed the claim on wednesday of last week. The cam will be returned

It should ship directly from Comp, which is located in Memphis. If it does ship today, you might as well run it as it'll make good power. Sorry you had to wait so long, I had to wait several weeks myself.

Its clearly the principle at this point......say what you do....do what you say.

I just had my engine rebuilt with a new cam form comp cams. The engine builder got a custom cam within 3 days. Delivered within 3 days. It's time to move on. Sorry you went through this, talk to a new shop, this is just silly. Good luck

Here is what I did on my Z06.

I love the drive ability of my LG G5X1-E cam. Certainly helped my low end torque too.

Thats what i was after was lowend torque. I bought sw 1.875 headers and then ordered the cam that was two months ago and still no cam. The guy said three weeks and it been over two months. It didnt arrive today....maybe tomorrow. I decided to skip the cam because just to be honest i have lost intrest so now the long tubes and catted x pipe will be installed along with a tune. If i do a cam in the future it will be from a well known source such as lg or texas speed.

Wow............sorry to hear you have gone through this. You and I spoke on the phone awhile back. I know how much you had your heart set on finding the right combination and the homework you did and it ends up like this.

I've been subscribed to your thread trying to follow up what would be a build I'd be interested in copying. It's too bad it has come to this. I can read where you've lost your enthusiasm now. I don't blame you.

I think I may follow Toques build procedure now. From what I see, it's pretty close to what I want to do and where I want to be and Toque seems like the kind of member that is out to help others try to be successful and enjoy their car like I'm sure he enjoys his.

If the cam does arrive I may complete the install. Right now i'm disgusted with waiting so long. Those lg cams make great power seen it many times with local friends. It's just hard for me to see double the money for same kits with different names.

Toques car makes great power and looks awesome, only I never had any intentions of changing heads and intake.

Thanks for the kind words...

I am honestly enjoying my car now more than ever before. I have not lost one ounce of enjoyment from it from the mods I have installed. Just the opposite actually. I so often hear folks that get tired of huge cams, and issues that go with them. I wanted a car that I would enjoy for years to come and not grow sick of it.

* Knock on wood *

My heads/cam/longtube setup has been a very reliable setup for me for 7 years now. Started up every time I turned the key. Except for a dead battery once..

I'm not looking to be top dog on the street but it certainly is a lot of fun with the power level I have. My main goal was TORQUE. I built my car for MY enjoyment, and not bragging rights on dyno numbers.

Good luck with your build !!!
Toque

Cam arrives today....no springs or push rods, just the cam. This was ordered as a kit. Open the box to find the duration was 222 intake and exhaust@.050. Wrong was suppose to be 222 226 @ .050.

Called geoff explained it had been two months plus this and he explains its a custom cam and i will have to keep it. No i do not have to keep it sir!

He says it can be sent back to comp and be reground. Then ask me what the cam card says? I told him the duration was wrong and he says well 4 degrees will not matter that much???????

I said the cam is coming back to you.

That's not a way to do good business at all.

WOW.this keeps getting uglier and uglier......I guess some vendors have forgotten their principles if they ever had any to begin with.

There's a saying: "what goes around comes around".

I'm not sure if it's worth a check in with the Better Business Bureau or not. It didn't cost me anything to file a complaint with them against a guy who told me "sorry pal, you're out of luck".

I presented dates and photos and all in my filing and sometimes, right does win over wrong. When he showed up at my door to right the wrong, amazing how sir and thank you rolled off his lips.

I have that cam with LTs and catless mid. Car made 417/389 and has very strong low end grunt. Very snappy without having to rev the hell out of it to feel it. I had the same goals you do when I chose my cam which is why I stayed away from the 230+ duration.

So, just to be clear, who are we talking about. There should be a thread about who to stay away from.
