I don't wash my car, but when I clean it I always have a microfiber in one hand and the detail spray in the other.

I use either the weatherstrip or the keyhole to keep things clean. Just gotta train the rest of the world to do the same...

Coming from two red Vettes and a black Silverado, I'm VERY THANKFUL for my Pewter Metallic!

Don't touch it.......jump in, rev it up, pop the clutch......snap shuts the doors instantly! NO FINGERPRINTS!

That's really the main problem. If I even attempted to tell my wife to try not to get her prints on the car she would just role her eyes and add something else to the honeydo list.

I just use the back of my hand. There are far fewer oils there than in your fingers or palms.

Since the Vette sits low i just give the door a gentle push with my leg or even better yet if i happen to spot a glove wearing midget nearby i call them over and ask if they would push the door shut.

Mine is black also. The horizontal weather seal at the base of the door glass....gawd, this does sound like I'm ****.

Black one here too!! I always use the side of my index finger and the edge of the window glass at the very base of the back edge of the window. Equals no torque on the window glass and no prints on it either!! The doors on these cars close so easily and precisely that it doesn't take much effort anyway.

Am single, fat, old, and ugly so the passenger side is no problem at all. I am the only one that uses either door and my technique works wonderfully on either door!!!

Being an irrascible senior single has its percs!!!!!!!!!! (There is an old saying in my previous industry that has proven to be very true in my experience. "No matter how good she looks.......somebody, somewhere is sick and tired of putting up with her ****!!!!!")

I've never really given it any thought. I just close the door like I always do. The door will get dirty again, and I'll wash it again. What's the big deal?

I use my right hip to gently push the door closed.

Hate pushing on the side of the window and having a black car they show up everywhere on the paint. Just looking to see what some of you guys do aside from shutting the door with a towel wrapped around your hand.
Use latex powder free gloves. That's what I use at the casr shows. NO Fingerprints.
