I have both of my daughters trained on where they're allowed to touch the car. They started receiving training on proper car care as soon as they were old enough to be capable of leaving fingerprints.

P.S. - Did I just call some people ****? Sorry.
I take that as a compliment! Here I considered myself uncivilized compared to some folks on this forum. Sadly, I think some of them agree with me!

I don't drive it in the rain.
I just dust it off and detail it every weekend.

Cool. I know you've got info everywhere, but I don't remember seeing what specific products you use to detail. Care to share? I'm trying to kick the soap and water habit.

Exterior paint
Zaino Z5 - Fine scratches
Zaino Z2 - Show car polish
Zaino Z8 - Detail spray in between polishes (I dust off the car with Microfiber towels and Z8)

Interior
Interior cleaned with ONLY water and Microfiber towel.
Zaino Z9 - Leather seat cleaner
Zaino Z10 - Leather in a Bottle (seat conditioner)

Tires
Zaino Z16 - Tire shine - Dries on and does not sling off.

Engine
Engine cleaned with ONLY water and Microfiber towel.

Bare aluminum CCW wheels
Adam's Metal Polish #1 and #2
Spray detail with Zaino Z8/Microfiber in between polishing with Adam's.

Windows inside and out
Zaino Z8 - Wipe on with microfiber. Go do something else and let dry to haze. Wipe back off with dry microfiber to a clear smooth finish.
RainX on exterior windows once a month. Makes the windows super smooth and easy to wipe with microfiber. See procedure on my web site for the RainX.

Exhaust Tips, and entire cat back
Adam's Metal Polish #1 and #2

Underside of car and everywhere in between.
Water and microfiber towels.

Some other stuff on my web site www.ToqueZ06.com

I have also heard that ADAM's products is exceptional from friends.
I don't have any personal experience with ADAM's except their metal polish which is awesome !

Hope this helps.

Wow...
Thanks very much for the detailed response. I only wish that I was the original owner of my car. Can't believe the location and quantity of dirt and grime. It may take some time, but I'm doing my best to make it as presentable as yours!
Thanks again.

The other half is standing back and looking at a sweet looking clean ride after your done !

So true Toque

Wet or dry I close it from the black weather strip at bottom of window. This way no fingerprints on paint and no loosening of window over time by repeatedly pushing on it (taught to me by another Vette owner). Hey, I figure we could have a lot worse afflictions than being nutty about our Vettes. Enjoy the journey.
