Default C5 = best looking gen

I went on a little errand and saw 4 vettes , a C5 Nassau blue vert with a white top , a base c6 white and a green c4 with a tan top and another base red c6 .
By far the C5 looked much better than the other 3.
Every time I'm driving and see a C5 coming in my direction , I think wow this car still beats the others in looks by a long shot .
I think the C7 is just a pure flop in styling BTW .

I agree, the C5 is the best looking all around Vette imo.

Btw, the C6 Z in my avatar is my old Z. I'm back in a C5!

The FRC is a classic design.Makes you wonder if GM will ever decide to bring it back since it is desired.

by the people who post regularly in the c5 section

would be a more accurate end term

not sure if anyone has noticed but depending on which forum you go to, that forum is the best generation of corvette.

this exact same question was asked the other day in c6 world and the entire thread short of like one guy was all c6!!

Thanks for the correction.Yes everyone has their favorite style and the FRC is mine.I do sometimes wonder why GM stopped with the C5.A C6 Z06 would have been something.Well maybe they will have a C7 Z06 FRC for 2015.

I really like all models of the Vette, but the C2, C3, and C5's were the best lookers, IMHO. That is before the advent of the C7.

Of course since I have not seen a C7 in person, I reserve the right to change my opinion. But from the pics, it is one awesome looking Vette and could become my all time favorite!

I generally did not like the look of the C6, but the Grand Sport C6 and the new 427 convertible have somewhat changed my mind about the C6.

The C6 in standard trim, just leaves much to be desired, IMHO. With added bodywork to set it off, not bad!

Like 'em all, but prefer the odd model styles: C1, 3, 5, and 7.

A lot ppl believe whatever it is they own is the best, regardless if we're talking looks, performance or whatever. Some ppl actually feel this way and some just don't want to admit they like another better because it is unavailable to them, its called denial.

Hey i would dump my 04 Z06 in a minute if i could have a 2013 427 Vert or even a GS.I just kind of liked the FRC design but i sure as heck am not married to it.I like all Vettes from 1953 to 2013.

If the C6 had the front of a C5 I'd like it....never could get over that bulbous, ugly front end of the C6...rest of the car is very nice.

The c5 is the only car that has ever made me do the "spin and look" thingy. I remember the first time I saw one...I had to have one...Thanks to the most excellent forum member Smdorsey I have a great vert!

Since I just sold my 63 coupe the C5 convertible in my garage is now the best looking Corvette ever made. There has never been an ugly Corvette produced by the factory. It is all in the perception. I still have great love for the C2 series styling but you can't deny progress. The amenities of the newer car are wonderful. Remember when 435 HP was the pinnacle of success? Now it is a standard and provides over three times the mileage in daily driving. Tradition is great. Progress is greater.

We all have different opinions on this one. I like the c5 over the base C6. The C6 wide body beats the c5. The C7 beats them all. Just my opinion and I still own a C5 for now
