The mid 70's do it for me. the nose isn't too long, curves in the right places, and a small butt.2nd is the C5 FRC body. I've never liked the bubble back galss on the late 70's or later gens including present.
But If I had the funds, I'd rather drive home in the C6 ZR1, but more from a performance standpoint reason.

After seeing the C7 in person, I can honestly say I'm not blown away with the styling. Just too busy and not enough clean lines and in my opinion I think the nose looks worse than the rear. I do however love the interior.
A base c6 is way better than a c5. Just look at them side by side and its obvious.
How about front by front ? The front of the C6 is heavy looking and butt ugly with the oversize grille opening and huge plastic headlights.. The front of the C5 is a tasteful work of art.
Ill never forget the first time I saw the Vette that I now own in person, I remember pulling up to this guys house and seeing that stunning shape of the FRC.
I fell in love with the hardtop, I love most all Vette's some more than others but something about the shape of the hard top just does it for me.
Of course if I would have known then that I would end up spending as much money as I have to do the things I have I might could have looked at it differently,
But I have no regrets
