not sure if anyone has noticed but depending on which forum you go to, that forum is the best generation of corvette.

this exact same question was asked the other day in c6 world and the entire thread short of like one guy was all c6!!

Any C5 over the base C6. But the C6 widebody over the C5. Tough to not love the C2. I'm not entertining the C7 yet as it's not even out yet. Who's to say the C7 ZR1 won't be the best?? I'm waiting on the C7. Give me a Carbon Edition C6 Z06 period.

It only makes sense that you would like the one that you have or you would have bought the other one as in my case. I had the cash money to buy whatever I wanted and bought a mint condition 2001 C5. You just can't top the absolutely perfect styling of a C5 and time will show that as they get even older.

Of the 3 generations that you mentioned, it is the best looking for sure.

I don't think GM ever turned out a bad looking Corvette. But the C-7 in metallic gray stopped me cold. It's not just the best looking Vette I've ever seen, it's possibly the best looking car. I used to lust after a Lamborghini Countach, but after seeing that C-7.... I put a picture of it up in my office with the caption "Why I Work". Some day, I'll own one.

I did not like the looks of a C5 at all when they came out but after I drove a Z06 in Aug of 2000 I knew I had to have one.

sometimes the other one is not always an option
example-Id prefer an Aventador over my vette, however at this time, its not an option
perfect styling - in the eyes of the beholder

My chrome bumper C3 vert is the best looking design the corvette has ever put out. Once they went to plastic the C3 design should have been scrapped. After that the C5 is hands down the best. The C6 is nice but the C7 to me is just butt ugly. They tried to make it too futuristic and then it looks like when they got around to designing the tail end they ran out of ideas so they stuck a camaro rear end behind it with stupid looking tail lights. Just my opinion anyway.

i think late 70s would be my vote for worst corvette ever. power was neutered, urathane bumpers on a car made for steel ones. old c2 frame, dated car even for 1978. there was a partial save for 1982 but it just wasn't anywhere wear as good as the 1969 car.

it's no wonder the c4 was met with so much love in 1984

c4's were really neat cars in their day. remember the miniram v. superram debates. 315 35 17 tires, that ultra smooth lt5 in the zr1. i think the only reason the c4 gets made fun of is because the c5 and c6 are so much better for modern cars. for its time period it was a really nice ride that just went a little too long in the production cycle. chevy needed to kill it in 1992 to meet the growing threat from japan. the c4 really was no match for the MKIV supra

... getting all nostalgic thinking here

I like'em all...

I like the C3, C4 (Yes i will admit it ), C5, C6 (especially the wide body), and the C7 is going to be great (I still would make changes to that C7 rear bumper though).

I never really cared for the FRC's. The looks of it just dont seem right, its kind of awkward looking.

It all comes down to personal likes and dislikes. I like all Vettes, but probably the C2s are my favorites in terms of styling. The C5 comes in a close second, with the C6 GS/Z06/ZR1 style next. But to be honest, the C7 from what I have seen is going to be right up there on my favorites list.

By far the C5 looked much better than the other 3.
Every time I'm driving and see a C5 coming in my direction , I think wow this car still beats the others in looks by a long shot .
I think the C7 is just a pure flop in styling BTW .

I've owned a C1 (1955), C2s (1963 Split Window, 1966), C3s (1969((3)), 1971 ((2)), 1973, 1974, 1978, 1980) and C5 (2004). I like the looks of the C5 the best of all of those.
I remember how disappointed I was in the Corvette when the C4 was introduced. I never did like it and still don't. But that changed completely when the C5 was unveiled. I thought that was about the best looking car I had ever seen. I was somewhat disappointed with the C6. I'm not a big fan of sharp ridges and angles on cars, especially cars that are supposed to be aerodynamic. I liked it but I didn't LOVE it like I did the C5. I like the C7 a lot but I don't love it like the C5. Again, the sharp ridges and angles.
For me, when a C5 comes down the road toward me, it just looks so low and so wide and so mean. That is the main attraction for me with the C5.

Agreed!

You should've snapped a photo of the nassau blue with white top - sweet combo!
