Nope, he just "gets it". I doubt that car will ever leave his family.
He's enjoying his car as well he should . . .I don't particularly care for some of the changes he's made with the hood, side pipes and wheels . . but obviously he loves it - -
That is excellent- that's why car have tires and an engine... to drive. I'm just wondering what all he's had done to it during the time he has owned it to get it to almost 500K on the odometer?

Was at a car show last fall, the was a guy in his 80's that was original owner of a 58 that he has logged nearly 800K on it. He now has a hitch on it with one of those platforms on the back to carry his skooter.
Miles don't affect value on a classic like that . It all depends on condition and he obviously has used it but taken care of it. Besides only he knows the true mileage on the car because the odometers only went to 100k back then and would turn over and start at zero again , but some of you older guys would already know that.

yeah, I wish my personal odometer would roll over to zero....wouldn't mind being 18 again once or twice more.

I didn't meet the owner, so no info on that. I pulled the photo from the Mid America Corvette event last September.
Uneducated!! I doubt that. He's the one owner with the 63 vert, remember. The side pipes are aftermarket but the 63's came stock with that hood. The split window has them as well but different luvers on the hood. I hope this guy can put another 100k on his car.
