[Z06] Short Throw Shifter debate

I had a problem wtih 5th gear grinding & missing. I have a B&M Performance shifter on a '03 Z06. Come to find out, it was a solenoid. The aces at the dealership found this out ~a year after it was out of the extended warranty.

I installed a B&M Precision Sport Shifter in my 2003 ZO6. At first it was really really stiff. I heard it would loosen up, but it was so stiff that I was skeptical. Well, it has loosened up a lot. It has a great feel. Nothing like the stock shifter. Which is obvious I guess. That's why I bought this one. Wait it out. The feel of yours might improve. If it doesn't I recommend a B&M. Install it and then give it time to loosen up. Getting into reverse is not bad at all, it used to be a dog.

Better get that shifting sorted ASAP, if you don't have billet keys you've probably already done some damage in the trans.
