I was leaving a local shopping mall and noticed that someone had scuffed about a 1 square foot spot on my C5's convertible top. It almost looks like they took a wire brush to it. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to repair this? The rest of the top is in perfect shape and I'd hate to have to replace the top.
Unfortunately there isn't much you can do about a scuff on a top. There's a small one (about half the size of a deck of cards) on mine. After cleaning the top with a RaggTopp cleaner, and leaving it be for a few months it has become a little less noticeable.
I sprayed several coats of ragtop protectant over a two day time period and it reconditioned the scuffs to where you can hardly see them. I hope this helps you. Good luck and save the wave.

Thats exactly what they probably did. Some jealous loser parked beside you in his beat up work van and felt sorry for himself because it was not his car and decided that you shouldn't have a nice car either. Took a wire brush out of his tool box and destroyed your top. Too bad you didn't see it happen.
