why would anyone buy a c7 with that butt ugly rear end. it looks worst than the camaro. Rather get a new porsch if I ever get rid of my 28,000 mile C5................
The rear end reminds me of a Pontiac........Maybe because at first glance the flags resemble the Firebird they use to put on the hood of Trans Ams. I don't care for anything about the car but maybe it'll grow on me in a couple of years. However, the C4 never did.
The rear diffuser ruins the rear, but I'm sure one or more of the aftermarket manufacturers will come up with something to replace it. Painting the diffuser to match the rest of the car instead of the gloss black will help some. Other than that the C7 is an amazing evolution of the Corvette and I can't wait until I can buy one for myself.

Spell checker is your friend.
With that said, I love the C7, GM Hit a homerun with it, Now this is my opinion as we all have one, Yes even you...
I think it's ugly from every angle not just the back. But like the C4 has it is starting to grow on me. It will never look as good as a C3 or C5. I won't buy one as it looks too boy racer for an older guy. Gives the same impression with an old guy as a Neon with a body kit and a fart pipe. People will be laughing at anyone over 40 in one.

I like it a lot. There's no mistaking it at night for anything else. IMO round, organic tail lights would look out of place compared to the angular lines and creases of the rest of the car. With nearly as much torque as a C6 Z06 and higher fuel efficiency for less than $60k before the dealer mark up, it'd be a bargain if I had the cash lying around or a third kidney.
I thought I would eventually begin to like it but, I tend to agree with the OP. It's not clean. It's just too busy. I don't know what else to say. If you compare it to a Porsche 911, it looks tacky. When it comes to car styling, I believe in the "less is more" philosophy. GM obviously felt that it had to look boy racer in order for it to be acceptable to the younger crowd. But, what they do not seem to understand is that the younger crowd can't afford it.
But, it's not just the styling that will keep me away from one but the so-called ground breaking electronics that control every single system in the car including some systems that were previously mechanical. I mean, as C5 owners we already think that there are too many electronics in our cars. Imagine the C7!!! What a nightmare that car will be down the line.
One car reviewer compared it to the stealth fighter in that it probably would become completely undriveable without all of the elaborate electronics keeping it glued to the road and in control. Whatever happened to the simple, well-handling sports car concept?
I kinda like it, but even so I'll probably be way too old for one after I spend the next few years loving my C5. There's no incentive to get one over mine.
