Im smokin crack?! Anyone who would put a mustang in the same class as a corvette is a flat idiot!!! For a pony car the cobra is cool, but it is a fast passenger car and not a sports car. I owned a super charged saleen for a while and it was a cool car. But that is where it ends. Maybe drag racing the cobra will be a good competitor. But get yourselfe a cobra and lets meet at sears point, laguna seca, button willow, or thunder hill and lets turn some laps!!! :smash: :smash: :smash: :chevy

...and I heard the Fords (from a Ford guy who was pizzed!) are having front end problems because of the extra weight (that was HIS story anyway).
I am glad when OTHER companies continue to make fast cars...it is better for the BREED.
Do I miss not having the FASTEST car in the known universe??? Like someone mentioned above 'bout the Opel, I have a friend that has a CHEVETTE that runs 10's...he likes it but I don't feel ANY less adequate in my 'Vette.

Sure, the Cobra is an amazing car for the money, but its not a Corvette, let alone a Z06. Z06s are the shiznit!

The numbers don't lie. The Cobra is matched to the 06. I HATE GM sometimes. They just don't get it on the 'vette. No way- no how should a "passenger car" stay with a 'vette. Let the Mustang compete with Camaros Firebirds and Audis. Vettes should only be racing vipers, 911s and up. This bs has gone on forever and I get so annoyed that a cheap/ugly (in my opiniion) 'stang is compared a 'vette.
I also hate people calling 'vettes "muscle-cars". Yeah right. I'll race anything- just give me 3 corners to catch up and pass. :smash:

I do actually think that z06 vettes should have at least 450 hp stock.....and coupes should have at least 400.... but thats not the case...
Anyway, the cobras are s/c'ed.....s/c a vette and then watch it DOMINATE

I for one can't wait to get my "just another Mustang, over-inflated tadpole, wife thinks those little mustangs are cute" 2003 Cobra. I'm gonna park it right next to my "just a corvette" Z06 and not worry about which is faster. I intend to enjoy driving each one of them and not worry what other prejudiced people may say or think. Life is too short to worry if a viper is faster than my Z06 or my Z06 is faster than my Cobra. I buy my cars because I want to have some fun with them and I hope thats why you bought what you bought. To Each His Own.

I'm with you...I don't feel bad about Ford making a fast anything cuz it makes the breed better...If I could fit my 6'7" frame inna Cobra for a decent price (I will never pay a premium over sticker for anything) I would do it for scootin' around...no flame intended...I have always wanted a Corvette and I love my Corvette (just not the guy who scratched it :mad :mad ) I don't put the 2 cars in the same field but they both serve a purpose and if a offshoot of that is I get more performance...woooo boy!!!! :seeya :chevy

Just out of curiousity, I looked and saw one of the stickers on the Cobra and noticed the $1,000 gas guzzler tax. What mileage do they advertise them as getting?
