Hey, don't 'splain it to me, 'splain it to LA Boy that dropped his "top". I will however, let you pull my finger, just not with your "pliers".

This L.A. Boy directs you to go to Sears.com and look for:

"Cooper hand tools dura-plyers" and you will have learned something new.

No need to apologize.

Good to know Cooper has redefined the spelling of pliers now, and forever more.

Next time it might be wise to do some research before shooting off your mouth. My spelling was correct. But as I said previously, no need to apologize. The facts speak for themselves.

Lighten up Sparky, you'll live longer. Glad you found your top though and we also now know Cooper calls one of their tools "plyer". Awesome!

For the record my name is not Sparky and am not an LA Boy. You thought you could make fun of another CF member's typo and it turned out that the joke was on you. Please abide by the CF rules and show some courtesy to other CF members in the future by not calling them names.

Good one! That irony is hilarious.
Glad to see you got some fresh air and you're trying to see the humor though.

It would seem that pretty much the entire hand tool industry is going to have to re-name their products now, however. Looks like they better get started soon 'cause there's a LOT that apparently haven't got the "plyers" memo yet it seems, and they've been doing it all wrong for decades.

Here's some "direction" for you for some examples:

www.snapon.com (Check "hand tools")
www.craftsman.com (Check "hand tools")
www.mactools.com (Check "Shop online" then "Handtools")
http://www.service.kleintools.com (Check "Products")
http://www.stanleytools.com/default....ATEGORY=PLIERS - 37k
www.matcotools.com (Check "Tool Catalog" then "Handtools")
http://www.stanleytools.com/default....axSteel+Pliers - 59k
http://www.protoindustrial.com/en/Pages/default.aspx (Check "Brands" for Proto, Blackhawk, Stanley and Expert)
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ool-pliers.jpg
http://www.primermagazine.com/wp-con...iers_Types.jpg
www.channellock.com (Check "Hand tools")
www.apexhandtools.com/brands/crescent
http://www.skhandtool.com/products/pliers.aspx
www.aikencolon.com/Knipex-Hand-Tools_c_969.html (Check "Knipex" brand, German hand tools)

Btw, a little tip for next time your "top" falls down inside under your battery: There's a small, removable, inspection panel in the lower rear RH wheel-well that once removed, gives access to the area under the battery where things (like your little "top", etc) usually fall. A few 7 mm screws saves removing the battery cables, battery hold down clamp, battery, battery tray and likely having to use a long extendable magnetic, or grasping tool, to reach deep down inside for retrieval. No need to jack up the car either.

You can huff and puff all you want and try to misdirect the conversation. The point is you didn't know that Sears sells "Plyers" and you thought that it would be hilarious to make fun of a CF member's typo. The problem was that it was not a typo. I will let the rest of the members draw their own conclusions regarding your actions in this thread.

Good grief, you really don't get, do you? "Dura-Plyers" (not "plyers") is nothing more than a trademarked name for a particular unique tool (plier), that Cooper makes. They too are "pliers". Guess you didn't know "Sears" also sells "pliers" too, which happens to be a category of hand tool manufactured by dozens of companies including Cooper.

I guess if Ford puts their name on a car, it's no longer a "car", because it may say "Ford" on it. Makes perfect sense.

You have a nice life.

What I do "get" based on your long incoherent ramblings is that you have way too much time on your hands and since I have a life to lead I am going to leave you now so you can keep posting more of those.

Promise us, please! No teasing.
Btw, as you're such a "Sears" devotee, you might want to check with them and stock up on some humor and some "grip", in case they're running any special deals. You're running a tad short on both.
